I hope you are ready for some great pictures that will make your tummies rumble and want to hop on the first plane, train, or car heading to Oxford, MS- where the food is great, the wine is the perfect temp, and there is always something happening- be it literary or athletic, educational or musical- or a million other things!
A few weeks ago, Erin- the oh so adorable owner of Deep South Magazine (an online magazine that you must subscribe to like now!) let me know that she and Cerith Mathis (mockingbird media) would be traveling through Mississippi and would love to meet up in Oxford and possibly Jackson. Since both those towns are a hop, skip and jump from my hometown- and I love me some Erin and had been eager to meet Cerith ( us Southern Lit fans have to stick together!) I signed up to meet them for dinner and drinks one night as part of their #SouthernLitRoadtrip. Continue reading

It’s been a day. My 3 new kitties (yes, 3 kitties just showed up at my house!) were playing this morning and running around the house… until I sat my glass of water down and they decided to drink water from my cup. Today, today, today is Literary Friday! I’m excited because tomorrow is Double Decker Arts Festival- and I’m ready to walk around and see the sights. Plus, I’ll see the most adorable niece ever- the lovely Miss A, so that makes any day brighter!
This week has been a bit crazy with World Book Night and devoting a good bit of time to reading! But, now it’s time to see what the Literary Friday is all about!

1. Deep South Magazine and their #literaryfriday: Literary Holidays, Wiley Cash book signing, and TurnRow Books tweeted Deep South some good news! Like King Cake? Deep South Mag is featuring where the best is and a King Cake drink recipe (yum!)
2. Traveling With T reviewed 2 books this week: BLACKBERRY PIE MURDER by Joanne Fluke and THE WIFE, THE MAID, and THE MISTRESS by Ariel Lawhon. Blackberry is not Joanne’s strongest- there is really no movement in the series. WMM is Ariel’s debut and it’s fantastic- 1930’s setting, Prohibition, and a missing judge!
3. Are you Google+? Have you heard about this new feature Google+ Ripples? Here is the info on it!
4. Ariel Lawhon, THE WIFE, THE MAID and THE MISTRESS was featured this week on Traveling With T. Here is the Author Spotlight on Ariel.

Today is Literary Friday- the best day of the week!
I’ve got much to talk about- so let’s get to it!
1. First, before I get into the fun of #literaryfriday- Traveling With T has had a “face lift”- yes, a new theme has been applied! While Matala ( my paisely print theme had been a very good theme to me- I did love the bright colors!), the new theme, Sorbet, looks to be a winner. It’s a bit more customizable- even without having to buy all the upgrades, etc- so I hope Sorbet and I are happy for quite some time.
