BIG LITTLE LIES begins with a trivia night and an elderly woman talking to her cat about the folks at the school. By the end of the first chapter- we know that someone died. We don’t know who. We don’t know why. But we are treated to bits and pieces of info from the parents all throughout the book- as well as a countdown to X time before Trivia Night- when the incident went down.
