Futuristic Friday: Find Your Great New Reads!

futuristic friday

Well, it’s that time again- the time where me and Katie from @ Doing Dewey reveal the books that we are chomping at the bit to read over the next 3 months! Futuristic Friday was a feature dreamed up by Traveling With T one day- and Katie, so enthusiastically, agreed to co-host this feature with me. Working with Katie has been a dream- while we have similar taste in reading (you’ll see that in the July we have some overlapping picks!), but Katie always picks some great books that I was not aware of- which I totally love!

Traveling With T’s July 2014 Futuristic Friday Selections:

July’s selections: The House on Mermaid Point, It Comes in Waves, A Good Year for the Roses, The Sweet Spot, The Good Girl, The Fortune Hunter, and Since You’ve Been Gone.

Doing Dewey’s July 2014 Futuristic Friday Selections:

July Selections: One Plus One, Big Little Lies, I Said Yes To Everything and Alias Hook.

***Editorial Note: It should be noted that Traveling With T is also eager to read One Plus One and Big Little Lies.

Traveling With T’s August 2014 Futuristic Friday Selections:

Doing Dewey’s August 2014 Futuristic Friday Selections:

Traveling With T’s September 2014 Futuristic Friday Selections:

Doing Dewey’s September 2014 Futuristic Friday Selections:

Well, folks, there you have it- 29 great sounding books- all releasing from July 2014 to September 2014! Looks like me and Katie have tons of books to fill out reading time!

Let us know: Is there a book that you are excited for that did not make the list? We always are eager to hear about more books!

  1. Oh I just finished One Plus One last week and posted my thoughts today. Also looking forward to The Good Girl, Big Little Lies and Three Story House.

The Perfect Witness sounds like something I would like so I added to my list. I also added Since You’ve Been Gone – which by the way has a goodreads giveaway until Jul 1st.

Great list as always ladies…very dangerous for the bookshelves though 🙂

    • Oh yay! I’ll pop over to see your thoughts on One Plus One soon! I’ve not read anything by Iris Johansen- but The Perfect Witness just sounded so good! And thank you for the info about the Since You’ve Been Gone giveaway! I received a review copy months ago- but you know how I feel about giveaways- always good to know about them!

Aww, thank you! The bookshelves should be afraid…. very afraid 😉

  2. Great list, as always Tamara! The Fortune Hunter, The Good Girl, and The End of Innocence are all books I’d noticed but forgotten about and The Objects of Her Affection and Accidents of Marriage are completely new-to-me picks which I think look fantastic 🙂

    • The End of Innocence and The Objects of Her Affection are books I learned about at BEA- and I’m pretty excited about both of them. I knew about The Good Girl before BEA- but was excited to meet Mary Kubica and after reading The Comfort of Lies by Randy Susan Meyers (she wrote Accidents of Marriage) I have her on my “must read” list!

The Fortune Hunter was a book that I was not aware of till a publicist contacted me, but I am very eager to read!

I’m hearing good things about Alias Hook and I was excited to see Season of Storms on your list. And obviously, Big Little Lies and One Plus One 🙂
