{Giveaway} Win EVERY FIFTEEN MINUTES by Lisa Scottoline #15MinsAudio

giveaway giveaway

You guys!!!!!!!!!!!! Get ready to do the happy giveaway dance all weekend long! Those fine folks at Macmillan Audio sent me an email the other week asking me to take part in the #15MinsAudio and I just happy danced all over the place.

When I saw that George Newbern (you might remember him as Payne from Designing Women or the serial rapist that had an unique DNA issue in CSI. You should def remember him from Father of the Bride 1 and 2 and if you are a fan of Scandal- well you know he’s on there sometimes as well!) was narrating the audio- well this was me: *Glitter EVERYWHERE!* Just dipping my toes in the water of audio books, I’ve been very choosy about who I listen to- I obsessively listen to samples. George has such a pleasing voice- that when I heard the sample I did not think twice. I said “Send it quick, fast, and in a hurry!” Continue reading →

Side Trip to Kathmandu

Sidney Marsh is in trouble. Her last 2 trips for Itchy Feet Travel have been… shall we say- disastrous?!

Her boss at Itchy Feet is not happy with Sidney. Even though Sidney says “it’s not her fault” he’s giving her one more (read: last) chance to have a trip and not to discover a dead body and end in a disaster.

Oh Sidney- what’s a girl to do that likes to put on her mystery hat and solve puzzling situations? Continue reading →

{Excerpt and Giveaway} Pretty Ugly by Kirker Butler

giveaway giveaway

Today I have an excerpt from PRETTY UGLY by Kirker Butler. According to Katie at St. Martin’s- it’s “super sharp satire about the pageant world and one of the kooky families that inhabits it.” After Katie sent me the excerpt, I began reading it (and I do not advise reading this excerpt while drinking anything! Disaster!)

After you read the excerpt, scroll on further down for the giveaway! Continue reading →

Recipe for Disaster

Summary from Goodreads:

To an outside observer, Anneke Stroudt is a mess—her shirts are stained, her fingernails stubby, her language colorful. But, despite her flaws, Anneke’s life is close to perfect. She has a beautiful historic house to restore and a loving fiancé who cooks like a dream.

Until Anneke’s charmed existence falls apart when she loses both her job and her future husband in one terrible day. In need of a new start, she packs up her disgruntled schnauzer and moves into her half-finished home, where she throws her pent-up frustration—and what little savings she has—into finishing the renovation.

But at the first step into the house’s overhaul, Anneke is sidetracked when she discovers a mysterious leather-bound book, long hidden away, filled with tempting recipes and steamy secrets from Gemma Ditmore-Smythe, the cook for the house’s original owners. Slowly, with the help of some delicious food and Emma’s life lessons, Anneke begins to realize that, just like a flawless recipe, she’s been waiting for the right ingredients to cook up a perfect life all along…

Traveling With T on vacation March 26th March 29th

Hello lovely folks! I will be on vacation for the next few days- spending time with my lovely Sweet Potato Queen friends, wearing big crowns and big wigs and raising money for the Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, MS!

Now, I’ve already scheduled some tweets about some upcoming things and I’m sure I won’t be off the social media grid completely- BUT I will be focused more on having fun with the people I am with than keeping up with all the social media fun! Continue reading →
