His & Hers
Summary: There are two sides to every story: yours and mine, ours and theirs, His & Hers. Which means someone is always lying.
When a woman is murdered in Blackdown, a quintessentially British village, newsreader Anna Andrews is reluctant to cover the case. Detective Jack Harper is suspicious of her involvement, until he becomes a suspect in his own murder investigation. Someone isn’t telling the truth, and some secrets are worth killing to keep.
His & Hers is a twisty, smart, psychological thriller. A gripping tale of suspense, told by expertly-drawn narrators that will keep readers guessing until the very end.
Traveling With T’s Thoughts:
This book has been in my Netgalley queue for far tooooo long. I kept saying I was going to read it, I kept pushing it back. It would get “lost” on my Kindle. Then I was that it was being made into a Netflix series. I wanted to read the book before I watched the show. Then my friend Erin told me that I def needed to read before I watched.
So I kept meaning to read it.
Finally I did. WOWZA and YOWZA. This book was Something else.
What I liked:
I don’t always love the special covers made for the TV versions, but I do this one!
The distinct voices of the book. I love the multiple narratives.
The ending. This book took me on a twisty and turn-y ride and every time I thought I had it figured out… I didn’t.
Bottom line: This book was SO good. And if the show is half as good (haven’t watched yet!) then it’ll still be fantastic.
