I love Shari Lapena’s books and Getting Away With Murder is no exception! While we started off this book knowing what was going to happen and who was committing the crime, we didn’t know how the book was turn out. Was there going to be a double cross between our criminals? Did they leave behind a clue to their guilt?
I loved the setup and the characters. Even the bad ones… Especially the bad ones!
What I liked:
The cover! Yes!
Jill and Ted. The way they were so self congratulatory with what they pulled off to how they would second guess things as the book went on.
How many people suspected Jill and Ted. I loved how many people immediately assumed they did it!
Bottom line: For me, this was good. Rich people behaving badly is something that sometimes works in a book, other times not. It worked here.
