Some Kind of Wonderful

Summary from Goodreads:

USA Today bestselling author Sarah Morgan will sweep you away with her Puffin Island series! In a town where anything can happen, sometimes love can be found in the most unlikely place of all…

Her whole life, Puffin Islander Brittany Forrest has dreamed of adventure. And at the age of eighteen, she thought she’d found it in bad boy Zachary Flynn. But after just ten tempestuous, smoldering days, their whirlwind marriage went up in smoke, and Brittany resolved to put him out of her mind forever.

Zach knows he let Brittany down, but being back on Puffin Island and seeing Brittany again stirs up long-buried emotions. This daredevil pilot has never felt worthy of her, yet he can’t stay away—even when he knows the chemistry between them will only complicate his life.

As long, hot summer days on the beach dissolve into sultry, starry nights, Brittany and Zach find that the sparks between them are more powerful than ever. Could it be that the second time around, their dreams of a happy-ever-after will finally come true?

Traveling With T’s Thoughts:

Having absolutely enjoyed the heck outta my first exposure to Sarah Morgan in her O’Neill brothers series- when I first heard about Puffin Island- I was unsure. Could I love another series like I did the first one? Continue reading

What Is The Role Of A Book Blogger?

Traveling With T What Is the role of a book blogger

A book blogger- what is their role exactly? I am a book blogger. I don’t work for a publishing company. I’m not an independent publicist. I actually make zero money off my blog. No ads. No sponsored posts. Over the last few months, I’ve been thinking more and more about the role of a book blogger- and what I want and can actually achieve for my blog, Traveling With T. #AMonthOfFaves: Picking Favorites

amonthoffaveshome

Christmas is 1 week away and while I’m not panicked (girl, I’ve got my Christmas gifts!) I’ve procrastinated on so many things (Christmas cards, getting the Chex cereal (2 freaking grocery stores were sold out last night- NO CHEX in either store!) and other stuff that I kinda can’t wrap my head around the fact that Christmas is just 7 days away. #AMonthOfFaves: The Blogger Shoutout Edition

amonthoffaveshome

I LOVE shoutouts! When I was in college- I actually got to talk on the radio- the hot station to listen to- and gave a shoutout to my roommates in Yazoo Hall room 131!

So, shoutouts and I go way back. Like a year back (oh wait- maybe it just feels like a year since I’ve been a college gal 😉

Before I get into the shoutouts for this post- let’s jazz hand it up for Andi @ Estella’s Revenge and Tanya @ Girlxoxo!

On to the shoutouts!

Book Bloggers:

1. Rhiannon @ Ivory Owl Reviews. Listen- this girl is right next to the word amazing. Seriously. Rhiannon and I were friendly via book blogging because of our She Reads connection- but in the past year or so- the friendly talk has extended to actually being friends. We even got to meet this year (read all about our meet-up and Stanley the bird- The Time WriterRhiannon and I met in Birmingham).

2. Kristin @ Always With A Book. Again- a She Reads connection got us talking- and as we got to know each other better virtually- a friendship developed. We even took a chance and stayed with each other at BEA 14 ( and after the LONG day of travel that I had to get to NYC- seeing her smiling face was so great!) Seeing Kristin again for BEA 15 was great- and she’s a friend that I adore talking with- because she’s so genuine.

3. Helen at My Novel Opinion. We bonded over a mutual love of finding cheap Kindle books and enjoying the same type of books. We are each other’s #bookpusher- and proud to play that role 🙂 Meeting her at BEA 15 was great- I just wished we could have spent more time together!

4. Allison at The Book Wheel. Badass. Encourages me to chase my dreams. Calms me down when I’m nervous about bloggy things. Reminds me to be a badass.

5. Cindi at Utah Mom’s Life. Cindi always has a kind word for someone on Twitter and she  has such a great take on the books she reads!

6. Wesley at Library Educated. I met Wesley (virtually) through another blogger- and while we don’t talk allllllllllll the time- she’s a straight shooter in her thoughts and opinions- and I find that to be super-refreshing. And her love for scarves makes me know she’s a good person.

7. Tanya at Mom’s Small Victories. Superwoman. Seriously.

8. Katie at Doing Dewey. My #FuturisticFriday partner in crime. The yin to my yang in books. Katie is a non-fiction loving gal and I adore reading her reviews.

Other bloggers:

Wendi at H2O Bungalow. Her crafty ideas always make me feel like I’m ready to nest. And then move to the beach.

Lauren at The Thinking Closet. Crafty. Fun. Ideas galore. Lauren could rule the world.

(Please note that this is not at all ALLLLLLLLLL the bloggers I like or blogs I read. I’m probably forgetting at least 10. Maybe more!)

**************

Now that I’ve shared some of my faves- won’t you let me know some of yours? I’m ALWAYS in search of new bloggers to follow 🙂

#AMonthOfFaves: Getting Sh*T Done

amonthoffaveshome

Listen- I’m the best and the worst person to ask for advice on getting Sh*t done. I can procrastinate. I do procrastinate. But then I am also a Type A, get your Christmas shopping done months ahead, have dates with friends planned out 6 months ahead of time kind of person (to be fair, the college friends I still stay in contact with- we have to plan 6 months ahead because of babies/husbands- and I still know those plans can go to hell in a handbasket if a hubby decides that he must absolutely drink a few caseloads of beer shoot the largest buck known to man.)

With blogging- I try to plan ahead as much as I can. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.

Check out Tanya @ Girlxoxo and Andi @ Estella’s Revenge– both of them have some awesome tips!

How I get Sh*t done while blogging:

I log out of social media accounts. I don’t need notifications distracting me. Continue reading
