Oh wow! Can you believe that A Month of Faves is almost over? I can’t! Jazz hands to Tanya and Andi for this rocking event!
Today’s Prompt:
How did you do – Reading Challenges, Personal Goals, Resolutions
Reading Challenges:
I’m currently at book 119 read this year. Goal: 130. It could still happen- it just all depends on how the next few days shake out.
Personal Goals:
Does it sound bad to say that I didn’t really set personal goals? Because that is basically the truth.
Oh, I’m trying to eat more healthy. Walk every morning. Reclaim my Elliptical Queen title. But I didn’t set that as goals- I just know I need to do those things- so I do. For the most part.
For 2016- I’d like to set some personal goals- goals where I can talk about meeting people ( dating and new-friend wise- because I’m in a dating drought and a new friend *not counting online friends* drought).
Other things for 2016 (personal goal wise)
Focus on getting stronger- I want to be able to lift more weights and walk a mile faster than my current time.
I want to get my “nest” more organized. I thought with some of the things that happened earlier in 2015, I was going to get closer to having the closet of my dreams- but major roadblocks on that path. Le sigh.
Start asking for what I want. No excuses. No wasting time with people who don’t have my best interests at heart.
Looking back at 2015 A Month of Faves resolutions– I’m pretty happy with how I did in 2015. I didn’t get my massive list of contacts for publishers quite done- but oh well. But I said no more. I took time out for photography. I did what I wanted- and while I still want blogging to be fun- I’m actively looking into ways that I can turn my passion into book blogging/author promotion into something that could make some money.
Resolutions for 2016:
Travel.
Save more money. I like to shop- and while I don’t spend THAT much- sometimes when I open my credit card bill, I feel a bit Becky Bloomwood-ish.
Spend less time watching TV and more time actually DOING things.
Spend more time with my niece.
Not be afraid to say that I want and deserve love.
To take more time to pamper myself- more pedicures and manis.

Thank you! And I wish the same for you! 🙂
More manis-pedis….that’s my favorite goal!! And – one of my 2016 goals will also be finding some creative ways to monetize my blog 🙂 I’m seeing that pop up on some other posts as well, so we’re not alone!
Yes, I’ve been noticing it pop up on others as well 🙂 And yes= more comforting, taking care of myself is so due for 2016!
I need to spend more time taking care of myself.
GREAT POST…thanks for sharing.

My A Month of Faves
You do!!!! TY!
I don’t often write down personal goals either but this year. A lot happened in 2015, so I just hope to work less in 2016 and be more balanced with work, family and my hobbies.
That’s a good plan 🙂 🙂 I’m striving for more balance as well. I’d been working out for the last few months and it took a hit in Nov/Dec. I’m back to it- and I just ordered some longer yoga pants for my morning walk (I work out on the elliptical trainer, then take a walk around the house- a mile. The sun and fresh air puts me in a good mood!)
