News has been slow in Richmond until Nichelle tempts the news gods and then faster than you can say “Holy Manolos!” the news is kicking up a storm.

Naturally, our Moscato-drinking, shoe loving reporter is in the thick of things.

When a body is discovered at a high rise condo complex, Nichelle does her best to get the info she can. But, the police are being surprisingly tight-lipped over things.

Of course, that has never stopped Nancy Drew- so Nichelle uses her smarts and her feminine wiles to find out pieces of the story.  Continue reading

Davis Way- super spy is in hell. Jambalaya Hell, to be specific. Because her new hubby, Bradley Cole (and one she has no intention of ever making an ex, let alone an ex-ex hubby!) is the new General Manager of the Bellissimo Casino- and it’s been decided that it will be better for them to stay on-site for the next few months while some casino-expanding is going on in other locales.

Hence, Jambalaya Hell. Continue reading

Meet Davis Way- The South’s answer to New Jersey’s Stephanie Plum

Hello readers of Traveling With T! If you’ve been sticking around for a while- you know that I like a funny book thrown in amongst my Southern Lit, psychological thrillers, and other reads. I can usually count on Henery Press for tickling my funny bone with LynDee Walker or Phoebe Fox reads- but my original funny girl was Stephanie Plum. Wise-cracking, Jersey-talking, Tastykake loving- Stephanie Plum.

A few months ago, though, I was introduced to someone who might fill my Stephanie Plum quota when I need a funny book- and I’ve already read the latest Plum.

Meet Davis Way- the heroine of the Davis Way Crime Capers by Gretchen Archer. Davis from Alabama, has an ex-ex husband and is always finding herself in some kind of trouble (usually trouble that will make the reader laugh!) Continue reading

The Breakup Doctor

Summary from Goodreads:

Call Brook Ogden a matchmaker-in-reverse. Let others bring people together; Brook, licensed mental health counselor, picks up the pieces after things come apart. When her own therapy practice collapses, she maintains perfect control: landing on her feet with a weekly advice-to-the-lovelorn column and a successful consulting service as the Breakup Doctor: on call to help you shape up after you breakup.

But when her own relationship suddenly crumbles, Brook finds herself engaging in almost every bad-breakup behavior she preaches against. And worse, she starts a rebound relationship with the most inappropriate of men: a dangerously sexy bartender with anger-management issues—who also happens to be a former patient.

As her increasingly out-of-control behavior lands her at rock-bottom, Brook realizes you can’t always handle a messy breakup neatly—and that sometimes you can’t pull yourself together until you let yourself fall apart.
