Davis Way- super spy is in hell. Jambalaya Hell, to be specific. Because her new hubby, Bradley Cole (and one she has no intention of ever making an ex, let alone an ex-ex hubby!) is the new General Manager of the Bellissimo Casino- and it’s been decided that it will be better for them to stay on-site for the next few months while some casino-expanding is going on in other locales.
Hence, Jambalaya Hell.
More accurately, the apartment that the former general manager and his New Orleans obsessed wife lived in.
Davis, if you can’t tell, HATES it.
But, that’s the least of Davis’s problems….
With 500 bankers descending upon the Bellissimo, and the events manager just up and quitting- Davis takes on another role in her many hat wearing time at Bellissimo.
So, what’s on Davis’s plate? Entertain 500 bankers, keep her ex-ex husband out of trouble, find the now-missing former event manager, and….. figure out when and how the vault was robbed!
If anyone can do it, it’s Davis Way. The question is- by the time she solves the crime- will she still be married and will she have her sanity?
Read DOUBLE MINT to find out!
Traveling With T’s Thoughts:
Adore Davis Way. Smart as a whip and funny as all get out. Davis is back and better!
Many story lines intersect in DOUBLE MINT- just like in previous Davis Way Crime Caper books- and Gretchen pulls the strings in all the right places.
What I Loved:
The cover. I don’t know who does Henery Press covers- but someone should send them some wine. They design covers that truly reflect the fun side of the books and pair nicely with the lead character’s spirit. Good job!
Davis. But you knew that already!
The sub-plot with Fantasy. It should work nicely for future books- give them a nice shake-up!
Bradley Cole- he’s a good match for Davis. He gets her! And that makes me happy!
Bottom line: If you are looking for something fun and cute- with some laughs and some easy reading time- try DOUBLE MINT. And I dare you to not want to load up and go to the casino after reading!
