{Giveaway} The Idea of Love by Patti Callahan Henry

giveaway giveaway

It’s only been in the past 3 years that I began reading Patti Callahan Henry’s books- but it feels like I have been reading them all my life. My first one, AND THEN I FOUND YOU, was probably the more serious of the ones I’ve read of hers- considering that it was based on a factual family story. Then last year THE STORIES WE TELL kept me company as I relaxed with a cool drink. And, in June (June 23rd to be exact) it’ll be time for THE IDEA OF LOVE. Having already read it- it’s going to be the right book for the pool and beach- the perfect bit of fluff in your sunshine-day!

And thanks to Patti’s publicists- Traveling With T has a copy to give to a lucky reader! Continue reading

Be Afraid

Summary from Goodreads:

The Fear Is Terrifying

When police rescue five-year-old Jenna Thompson from the dark closet where she’s been held captive for days, they tell her she’s a lucky girl. Compared to the rest of her family, it’s true. But even with their killer dead of an overdose, Jenna is still trying to find peace twenty-five years later.

But The Truth

On leave from her forensic artist job, Jenna returns to Nashville, the city where she lost so much. Instead of closure, she finds a new horror. Detective Rick Morgan needs Jenna’s expertise in identifying the skeletal remains of a young child. The case jogs hazy half-buried memories–and a nagging dread that Jenna’s ordeal hasn’t ended.

Is Even Worse

Now other women are dying. And as the links between these brutal killings and Jenna’s past becomes clear, she knows this time, a madman will leave no survivors. .

Traveling With T’s Thoughts:

Having read COVER YOUR EYES last year (liking it- but not just running around and screaming “READ THIS BOOK” to everyone I knew), I wanted to give Mary another shot. When BE AFRAID came to my house, I was ready! Continue reading
