National Auntie’s Day is this Sunday (July 22!) Because I’m a proud aunt to the 2 most gorgeous, smart, funny girls who have me wrapped around their little fingers- I’m also a big supporter of this day. I love my relationship with the 2 A’s and I only hope that as they grow older our relationship stays strong and evolves in a positive way.
For the aunts in your life- give them a book. Or a gift card and send them the link to my blog- because you know I’m talking good books 🙂
And to all the aunts out there- Today is YOUR day. 🙂 🙂
For the Aunt who loves a Beach Read:
I cannot even begin to recommend Kristy Woodson Harvey enough. Her series, Peachtree Bluff, has secrets and sweet Southern settings with wonderful characters- 3 of them are aunts, btw!
Read my review of Slightly South of Simple and The Secret To Southern Charm.
For the Aunt who likes “ripped from the headlines” stories:
Randy Susan Meyers writes books that give you all the feels and then some. In her latest, The Widow of Wall Street, the Bernie Madoff like story will cause you to think about all the victims of the pyramid scheme- not just the investors, but the family who has to live with the fallout. Compelling story.
Read my review of The Widow of Wall Street.
For the Aunt who loves historical fiction:
Beatriz Williams is the cat’s pajamas when it comes to historical fiction and The Summer Wives is SO good.
Read my review of The Summer Wives.
For the Aunt who likes a thriller with strong female characters:
The Banker’s Wife has 2 female leads and both are strong in their quest to piece together the puzzle of the mystery in this book. It was a satisfying thriller and one that had me flipping pages fast AND trying to savor the writing.
Read my review of The Banker’s Wife.
*Which book(s) will you be gifting to your aunt? Would you consider having an aunt/niece read-along?*
Happy Reading and Bookishly Yours,
T @ Traveling With T
Hi T. Speaking as an aunt, I would absolutely love them all! Lol!!
Wonderful! I hope you get a chance to read them soon 🙂
I have two of those books, but I don’t have an aunt who shares my love of reading in the same genre to share the books. 🙂

I can be your honorary aunt 🙂
