So…. Last week I was at Book Expo. It was really great and I enjoyed seeing old friends and finally meeting some of these people that I’ve been talking and emailing with for years! When I came home, though, it was back to being cat mom and super aunt.. One of my cats started feeling bad so we had to go to the vet (she’s beginning to feel better), my nieces came over and Little A had a cold and Miss A had a million stories to tell and treasure hunts for us to go on!

What have I been reading lately? Since I was in NYC last week- I really did not get much reading done- I re-read bits and pieces of The Ex by Alafair Burke before I left for NYC and when I came home. And then I picked up About A Dog by Jenn McKinlay- cute and funny. And even though the book is not out till October- I think my #FridayReads will be Even If It Kills Her by Kate White. Because after snagging a copy at Book Expo, I simply cannot wait till October to read it. CAN’T WAIT.
I know some of you have been asking how was Book Expo, etc and I PROMISE to get a full recap up soon. Between the week of fun, the traveling, my nieces being in town, sick cat and just feeling tired all week- I have been behind in some posting. Fingers crossed that it will be up soon and it will TOTES be worth waiting for 🙂
*What are you doing this weekend? I’m hoping for some pool time, some rest, and a good book! Need some recommendations? Take a look at my 22 Beach Reads For Summer Vacation or 24 Books To Share With Your Best Friend for National Best Friends Day!*

You have the cutest smile. Looks like you had a blast. Enjoy your books!! 😊
*blushing* Thank you! I did have a blast. And I’m already enjoying my signed copy of Even If It Kills Her by Kate White ( I could NOT wait another day to read it 😉
It was SO great spending some time with you (at least it was an improvement over 2 years ago)! I know what you mean about playing catch up. I still haven’t posted what I read in May yet (and it’s June 9, tick tick tick). Here’s hoping for a relaxing weekend, although I’ve come down with the usual travel cold, so who knows.
YES! We at least doubled or tripled (or even more!) the time we got to spend together this time! Score for us! I feel like I am going to be playing catch up for quite a few days- but I’m so glad I took the week off and went to NYC and just focused on having fun! Boo about the cold. I was handing out sanitizer and to all the people around me on the plane 😉 😉 I think I’ve missed the travel cold (knock on wood!)
Sounds like you have fun with your nieces. Hope your cat is better.
So glad you had a nice time at the BEA. Meeting other bloggers is the absolute BEST.
Elizabeth
I did! My kitty cat is feeling better 🙂 And yes, meeting other bloggers is the best!!!
Enjoy your weekend!!! Being retired, everyday is a weekend for me. I rarely know what day it is! Life Is Good!
NICE!!!!!!
You’ve been one busy lady! I’m dog-sitting this weekend, and finishing up Adriana Trigiani’s new book Kiss Carlo.
That cover is GORGEOUS! Enjoy!
