I’ve read a lot of books in 2015- some have been memorable for many reasons. Good, not so great and a recent just terrible. Some have been even GREAT!
I had an idea of one book I wanted to write about today- but due to a weekend of Christmas shopping and my niece’s birthday party- I just didn’t get all my thoughts together (and I reallllllly want to share ALL my thoughts on this book!) So, today’s post is created on the fly- and I hope you like it!
Be sure and check out Tanya @ Girlxoxo and Andi @Estella’s Revenge for their posts!
2015: The Good. The Bad. The Ugly.
Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter
Dark. Twisted. GOOD. Memorable for many reasons.
The Daughter by Jane Shemilt
This one left me conflicted on a few levels. But I liked it.
Center of Gravity by Laura McNeill.
This book had a very Sleeping With The Enemy feel to it. I was nervous as I read it, kind of wanting to look over my shoulder as I turned each page.
The Ehh’s….
Everybody Rise by Stephanie Clifford.
I don’t think I have seen people have such vastly different reactions to a book in I can’t remember when. You either reallllllllllllly loved it or did not care for it.
The Terrible:
Double Fudge Brownie Murder by Joanne Fluke
My first 1 star book of 2015. Yes, it’s that terrible (especially if you have been a long time reader of the series). There will be a longer post about this book in the future. Trust me!

What did you think of my list? What books are memorable to you in 2015?
Happy Reading and Bookishly Yours,

I didn’t read The Pretty Girls, but would like to.
I so want to read The Daughter…the title and the cover just keep calling me.
Thanks for sharing your picks, T.

You are so welcome! Both book should be checked out ASAP!
I’m joining you in the “blah” category for Everybody Rise…I had high hopes, but was bored and DNF’d at 25%
*fist bump* about the blah! I did finish it and I will say the 2nd half was better- but it was just NOTTTTTTTTTTT this great book (like I had expected!)
I just bought the first book in Joanne Fluke’s series… hope it’s better than Double Fudge Brownie Murder!!
So, I used to really love her. And I don’t want to ruin your experience. The first several are quite enjoyable. But there is an element to the story that gets so overplayed. I am done! Books 1-7 or so are very enjoyable to me!
Bummer, the double fudge brownie murder was a dud, it looks like such a delicious fun cozy mystery series but I guess you can’t win them all. I want to read all the ones on your Good list. I’m going to do less review books next year so I can #ReadMyOwnDamnBooks. I have a huge bookcase full of books I want to read!!
A few of us used to do a Conquering the Book Shelves month and then it all kind of disbanded. I can’t decide if I’ll firmly join in on the #ReadMyOwnDamnBooks or not- but I def have some that need to be read of my own. 🙂
Her earlier books are much better- but I’m so peeved at how she’s ruined these characters for me.
I just received Pretty Girls in the mail yesterday. It looks like a thriller!
YASSSSSS. It’s totally a thriller. Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you so much for including COG on the list! I have Karin Slaughter’s book on queued up and The Daughter on my shelf to read (Thank you to Laura Rash!) Hugs! Laura
You are so welcome! 🙂 🙂 xo
That would be just “queued up” …. My fingers and brain aren’t syncing today 🙂
