Hey, hey, hey! So in case you missed the fabulous chat the other night with Diane Chamberlain about her latest, THE SILENT SISTER, you probably missed the news that Erin from Deep South Magazine and I will be hosting a readalong in October. Yes, it’s true! With THE SILENT SISTER making both Deep South Magazine Fall/Winter Reading List AND She Reads Books of Fall– well, E and I knew this was a sign- and knew we needed to make something bookishly cool happen.
Here’s the info:
- The questions/thoughts will post each Friday- beginning October 17th and ending October 31st. . The book is divided into 3 sections, so each section rings in a bit more than 100 pages of reading.
- There will be spoilers. So, be sure you have read the section that is getting discussed before casually coming over to take a itsy-bitsy peek.
- It’s going to be all laid-back, easy reading, super-cool.
Erin and I hope to see you October 17th as we begin the discussion on Part 1 of The Silent Sister. And be sure to check out the interview with Diane Chamberlain that Deep South Magazine will be posting at the end of the readalong. I’m sure the fabulous Erin will get author Diane Chamberlain to shed some light on all the secrets of the book- and the insight from the author will be a wonderful ending for the readalong!
See you October 17th!
Happy Reading and Bookishly Yours,
T @ Traveling With T

Exciting! I just finished the book a couple of days ago and I’m hoping to get my review written today.
Yay! Join in the readalong if you can!
Woo! Excited about this. I’ve already read it, so I’ll just join along for the discussion. π
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so glad you’ll be joining in the discussion! Thanks so much! π π Oh and pssttttt- looks like we will be having another She Reads Books of Fall Twitter chat in November- with Lisa Jewell. Getting final details nailed down- will let you know when I have everything triple-confirmed!
I will join in, I should be done by then! Glad I stopped by because I totally missed this readalong announcement during the chat!
I think I announced it after the chat was over technically- the chat was just moving so fast! Glad you will be joining in the fun!!!!!
Sadly, I missed the announcement and the chat, but I’ve already read the book and really enjoyed it! In fact, after I finish reading The Woman Who Would Be King tonight, I’m going to write my review of The Silent Sister if I have time. I’m excited to hear what you think as you read-along π
I hope you pop your head in as we discuss The Silent Sister over the next 3 weeks! Will love to hear your thoughts/input!
