Literary Friday ya’ll…

Hi ya’ll…… Can’t believe it is Friday! Of course- the days are mainly running together- so….

As I write this post, I have read 57 books so far in 2020 (but only have like 1 more hour or so in Beach Read- so about to be 58!) How many books have you read?

2. #FridayReads: Listening to Beach Read and reading In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren.

3. I went to a book store for the first time in MONTHS. And spied a great book in MMPB format 🙂

You may or may not have noticed that since July 17th, I have posted 8 times to IG ( today makes 9). Where have I been? Have I been writing a book? Falling in love? Creating a cure for some disease? No to all of the above. . . Somewhere in the summer, in the current Coronavirus situation, I just started feeling tired. Deep down, to my bones 🦴 tired. Tired like I could sleep 😴 for a hundred years. Tired of trying to figure out the algorithm. Tired of trying to keep up with the IG Joneses. . . I have said before & I will say again- I really do want to reach those lofty follower goals: 5/10/25/50k. But ( and I’m not knocking engagement groups) I just don’t know if I can get there without belonging to 11 million of them & I don’t have the energy to like all of them posts. Keeping it real, folks. I know with my recent lack of posting- my place in the algorithm is f’ed up. Am I giving up on IG? No. Am I drawing a line in the sand that says I’ll only be posting semi-regularly? No. . . I know the last few weeks, I have been trying to get more back to basics. Catch up on blogging ( I was 22 reviews behind). Reading more ( just finished book 3 in the Grant County series by Karin Slaughter). . . I’m hoping in September I will be back to a more regular posting schedule. And finding/keeping the balance of being an avid reader/Bookstagrammer. . . Do you ever take breaks from social media? If you do, do you announce it in advance? Or just let it happen?
