Literary Friday ya’ll…..

Hi everyone! Sorry I missed Literary Friday last week- but you know life….. And also a computer deciding to die. Thank goodness for my trusty Mac laptop or else I’d been up you know what creek without a paddle. 😉

I’ll be blogging later about it- but I had a fantastic Thursday evening with my friend Reeca at Novel- we got to see the 3 W’s (aka Lauren Willig, Karen White, and & Beatriz Williams.) It was a long day and a long drive-but totally worth it!

1. ICYMI at Traveling With T:  Book reviews of The Death of Mrs. Westaway, The Country Guesthouse &  Almost Just Friends AND giveaways of The God Game and Almost Just Friends.

2. If you haven’t read Almost Just Friends- you gotta read it!

{ partner @williammorrowbooks } Is there a series that is just like auto-buy for you? You don’t have to know what the book is about- you know you just gotta read it? One series is @jillshalvis’s Wildstone series. I love this series- characters, setting, covers, romance & the humor! . . From my review of Almost Just Friends: “The Manning family. Listen- this family def had it’s ups and downs and they are terrible at communicating with each other- but they are family. To the end. Love them.” . . Hey Jill- you keep on writing the Wildstone series & I’ll keep on reading the books! Pinky promise 😍📚 . . #genxbookstagrammers #travelingwithtreads #travelingwithtbookreviews #almostjustfriends #jillshalvis

3. Are you #readingwithKWHin2020?

We’re at the over halfway point in January- you know the point that all those shiny New Year resolutions have lost their sparkle, it’s cold & you don’t care about exercising or eating right or the word you picked for the year. . . For me, for 2020- I didn’t officially make resolutions or pick a word. A couple weeks before Christmas, I found out that I’m a diabetic & then my SIL had her health emergency & you know- it’s taken a lot to just deal. I’ve not been in a good place to make resolutions or pick words- I’ve been too busy working on eating habits, starting walking- because basically my life depends on these changes. (Not to be too dramatic or anything!) . . So I wasn’t going to participate in the Month of January #readingwithkwhin2020 because the prompt is about a book related to New Year’s Resolutions- but when Tandem Literary sent me this book & I began thumbing through it- things like kindness, joy, respect are things we should strive for ourselves & others- whether we pick them as our word OR resolutions. . . Also just in case you are curious- my meds are working & I’ve lost a few pounds. I have a long road ahead of me ( and boy, do I miss potatoes) but I feel optimistic about the things I know I have to do. . . #genxbookstagrammers #ourbetterangels #travelingwithtreads

6.  This book mail may have caused me to dance in my driveway after UPS guy handed it to me…

{ partner} @stmartinspress When the UPS man brings you one of your highly anticipated summer reads on a cold 🥶 ( well for MS) day- you just kinda want to invite him to an impromptu dance party in your driveway. . . The Wife Who Knew Too Much has def brightened my day! . . About the book: From Michele Campbell, the bestselling author of It's Always the Husband comes a new blockbuster thriller in The Wife Who Knew Too Much. Tabitha Girard had her heart broken years ago by Connor Ford. He was preppy and handsome. She was a pool girl at his country club. Their affair should have been a summer fling. But it meant everything to Tabitha. Years later, Connor comes back into Tabitha's life—older, richer, and desperately unhappy. He married for money, a wealthy, neurotic, controlling woman whom he never loved. He has always loved Tabitha. When Connor’s wife Nina takes her own life, he’s free. He can finally be with Tabitha. Nina’s home, Windswept, can be theirs. It seems to be a perfect ending to a fairy tale romance that began so many years ago. But then, Tabitha finds a diary. "I’m writing this to raise an alarm in the event of my untimely death," it begins. “If I die unexpectedly, it was foul play, and Connor was behind it. Connor—and her.” Who is Connor Ford? Why did he marry Nina? Is Tabitha his true love, or a convenient affair? As the police investigate Nina’s death, is she a convenient suspect? As Tabitha is drawn deeper into the dark glamour of a life she is ill-prepared for, it becomes clear to her that what a wife knows can kill her. . . #genxbookstagrammers #fiction #thriller #suspense #travelingwithtreads #thewifewhoknewtoomuch #michellecampbell
