Literary Friday ya’ll…..

 

Hi everyone! Sorry I missed Literary Friday last week- but you know life….. And also a computer deciding to die. Thank goodness for my trusty Mac laptop or else I’d been up you know what creek without a paddle. 😉

 

I’ll be blogging later about it- but I had a fantastic Thursday evening with my friend Reeca at Novel- we got to see the 3 W’s (aka Lauren Willig, Karen White, and & Beatriz Williams.) It was a long day and a long drive-but totally worth it!

We’re at the over halfway point in January- you know the point that all those shiny New Year resolutions have lost their sparkle, it’s cold & you don’t care about exercising or eating right or the word you picked for the year. . . For me, for 2020- I didn’t officially make resolutions or pick a word. A couple weeks before Christmas, I found out that I’m a diabetic & then my SIL had her health emergency & you know- it’s taken a lot to just deal. I’ve not been in a good place to make resolutions or pick words- I’ve been too busy working on eating habits, starting walking- because basically my life depends on these changes. (Not to be too dramatic or anything!) . . So I wasn’t going to participate in the Month of January #readingwithkwhin2020 because the prompt is about a book related to New Year’s Resolutions- but when Tandem Literary sent me this book & I began thumbing through it- things like kindness, joy, respect are things we should strive for ourselves & others- whether we pick them as our word OR resolutions. . . Also just in case you are curious- my meds are working & I’ve lost a few pounds. I have a long road ahead of me ( and boy, do I miss potatoes) but I feel optimistic about the things I know I have to do. . . #genxbookstagrammers #ourbetterangels #travelingwithtreads
