Today is another day in the #AMonthOfFaves postings! We’re talking about how we blog this time!
Join hosts Girlxoxo, Traveling with T and Estella’s Revenge for our 4th annual #AMonthofFaves blog event – a fun way to recap the year that was. We have every day of the event (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) planned out for you, so you can join in anytime. There will also be a link-up on all our blogs – put a link to your post so that we can stop by each and every post to leave comments, high fives, good vibes and well wishes. Here’s what we’ll be blogging about.
Today’s prompt: Wed. | Dec. 6 – This Is How We Blog #AMonthofFaves – Essential Computer Programs, Browser Plugins, Websites and / or your blogging routine, blogs on blogging that you follow, blog tips you learned and used this year
This Is How We Blog
I’ve always been a person who could blog from basically anywhere. I have 2 places that I consistently blog from (my office at work, my home). I have blogged while holding nieces. I blogged while waiting for my newest niece to be born (thanks to my Iphone 7plus). I blogged with cats trying to jump on my laptop. I blogged while sitting on hold with customer service for 45+ minutes one day.
But over the summer, things took a teensy hit. Miss A was in town a lot. The water in the swimming pool was too delicious to leave. Then my kitty cats have had some not too serious health issues, but taking them to vets, etc has derailed some of my blog-ability-ness.
But I’m getting back in the swing of things. Have a few posts scheduled.
What do I blog on: Dell computer at office, Mac Air at the house, Iphone on the road.
What programs do I use to blog/social media with: I have really loved Buffer since I started using it. It really keeps my Twitter feed in order (so much that sometimes I forget to actually check Twitter since my content is just spitting on out! But, for Pinterest, Tailwind has my heart. I can upload tons of images for drafts and schedule them out. Plus Tailwind has set me up a schedule of when I should pin AND they are sending me updates as to times when my Pins are getting attention to add THOSE times to my schedule. Plus, I’m loving Tailwind Tribes (and getting good results from it and I know I’m NOT using it to full potential because… BUSY lately. I also love Google docs- I make spreadsheets with links to my reviews to keep a master list going. Canva is great for making images!
Blogs on Blogging That I Follow: XOSarah, Peg Fitzpatrick, Ruth Sokup (I’m actually taking the EBA course now).
What’s keeping me focused: One of my blogger friends started a private group to help us get through EBA. We meet every 2 weeks online, have a FB support group and are supporting each other on Instagram. After meeting with these ladies, I feel all super power and kick butt strong!
Most non-techy thing I’m using for my blog: A paper notebook. I write ideas. To-do lists. Notes to myself about things to do.
Link-up your post!

Happy Reading and Bookishly Yours,

What Tailwind Tribes do you use? I found #Bloggersgetsocial Books and Books and am not getting really great results with either of them.
One of the bloggers that is doing EBA with me started a tribe just for us 5 people who are doing EBA together. We’ve done a pretty good job at re-pinning things, but have fallen off the wagon lately.
I need to start using some other Tribes and if I find one that I really like- I’ll let you know!
Hmmm. I only can blog from one place, yep, my recliner, where I read too. It’s going to be a bit easier now that my parents got me a laptop for Christmas. I had been blogging from my phone, which worked, but it’s so much easier with a laptop and also to comment on blogs like this comment. 🙂
A laptop for Christmas?! Nice- you were on Santa’s nice list this year 🙂 Seriously, enjoy it because that def has to be easier than blogging from phone! 🙂
It is so much easier.
YAY!!!! Enjoy your new laptop and the ease it’s bringing to your blogging life!
