Today’s #AMonthOfFaves post is all about how we read!
What is #AMonthOfFaves?
Join hosts Girlxoxo, Traveling with T and Estella’s Revenge for our 4th annual #AMonthofFaves blog event – a fun way to recap the year that was. We have every day of the event (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) planned out for you, so you can join in anytime. There will also be a link-up on all our blogs – put a link to your post so that we can stop by each and every post to leave comments, high fives, good vibes and well wishes. Here’s what we’ll be blogging about.
Today’s prompt:
Mon. | Dec. 4 – This Is How We Read #AMonthofFaves– eg. Number of books read so far, genre you read the most from, picture of favorite (or most often used) reading location, most read author, % eBooks, hardcovers, paperbacks and/or audiobooks, hint at what your favorite read of the year is (let us guess), types of books you wish you read more of, month you read the most and least)
How I Read:
Number of books read so far: At current time- I’ve read 72 books. I have a Goodreads goal of 75.
Genre I’ve read most: Suspense/mystery is tops this year- 42 books so far!
Reading location: I don’t have one place I read. I read in bed. I read in my easy chair. I read at the pool. I read when I go out to dinner by myself. I just do a lot of reading in a lot of places!
Most Read Author: I’ve read 2 Kate White books, 2 Mary Higgins Clark books and 3 Wendy Tyson books. Most read author of all time is probably Sue Grafton- she’s got over 20 books written and I’ve been reading her for years (and still in denial that there is only 1 letter in the alphabet!!!)
Paperbacks, E-books, Hardcover: I don’t keep track of the percentage of what type of book I read. If I had to guess, I would say it’s pretty evenly spread- I love all versions of books.
Some hints at my fave books: Nashville setting with a character that kept me glued to the pages in the domestic thriller. Green cover with a saucy main character. Gender neutral name with a crazy ending in book. Cover with hair that teases at many dark things happening.
Types of books I wish I read more of: I’m actually pretty happy with my range of types of books I read.
Month I’ve read the least: November. Keeping Sir Thomas’s stitches in was the main focus of November. Reading took a backseat!
Some of my bookish photography!

We have the same reading goal for this year!! I do count audiobooks in my total, though; is that cheating? LOL! I just reached 75, but I’ve got a few more I’m hoping to fit in before the end of the year; you’re doing great!
I would totally count audiobooks! I don’t listen to many books, though. I’m picky about my narrator!
Thank you- I think I’m going to make it!
How is Sir Thomas doing now? and I think I can guess one of your favorite books – The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I’m stumped on the one in Nashville!
He’s doing good! His hair is growing back and he’s back to being basically an outdoor cat with inside privileges 😉 Bingo! You’ll just have to wait a bit to find out the Nashville one 😉
I envy your reading anywhere. I read in one place: my recliner.
I can read in a lot of places, but it has to be fairly quiet (that is my only drawback) I can’t read with TV on for example because it distracts me….
No TV, but I can listen with music, usually instrumental.
Oh Sir Thomas! lol
He was a handful in November, lol!
Wow, more than half one genre! I get close to half if I lump all my nonfiction together, but the rest is pretty all over the place 🙂
I’ve always been a mystery/suspense fan- but even I was surprised that I read that many of one type book!
