Lethal Lifestyles

Summary: Wedding bells are ringing at the Richmond Telegraph, and maid of honor Nichelle Clarke is determined to give her friends the perfect fairytale beginning to their happily ever after. So when a corpse crashes rehearsal weekend, Nichelle ditches her wedding coordinator shoes for her crime reporter ones, and a little poking around turns up a big problem: the victim and the groom have a history, and it’s not a pretty one.

Evidence against groom Grant Parker piles up, leaving Nichelle wishing a hostile bridesmaid was still her biggest worry as she tries to fend off Richmond’s favorite TV reporter—and her own scheming publisher. At odds with the cops, her beloved editor, and the ticking clock, Nichelle races to uncover the truth and save the day before this perfect wedding turns into a funeral.

Traveling With T’s Thoughts:

I have loved LynDee’s style ever since the first escapade that I took with Nichelle- and this book is no different. Except that the adventures are getting better 🙂

Nichelle loves Melanie and Parker like family, so when it comes time for the lovebirds to get hitched- nothing and I mean NOTHING is going to stand in the way of their happiness. Not even a dead body. That is one of the many things I adore about Nichelle- when you are in her inner circle, you are golden. She’ll fight to the end for you.

What I liked:

The cover. But I bet you knew that? 😉

The mystery. This had a throwback feel to the first Headline In Heels book when Nichelle did suspect Grant- but she knows that there is no way he did this crime. It’s a nice nod to their history and a way for their friendship to come full circle.

The sneaky person in the book. I won’t reveal more than that and I don’t LOVE this character- but I know our Nichelle is going to get the upper hand 😉 *my lips are zipped*

The romance. Nichelle has been torn between her ex and the guy with ties to Mafia for awhile. She’s made her choice in a previous book and while I am slightly more #TeamKyle- truthfully choosing between Kyle and Joey is like choosing between milk and white chocolate- neither is wrong, they just satisfy in different ways 😉

Bottom line: Nichelle is the best and is always, always, always worth a read. Recommended.
