It’s day 2 of #AMonthOfFaves- and today it’s all about the hype. The books that are worth the hype! Check out Tanya @ Girlxoxo and Andi @ Estella’s Revenge– I bet their posts are fab!
What books did Traveling With T think were worth the hype? Let’s see…..
5 Books Worth The Hype
1. The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. This book ripped my heart out and made me ugly cry and I stilllllllll tell people to read it. It was THAT good.
2. The Magician’s Lie by Greer Macallister. The Amazing Arden is a character that I would not easily forget.
3. My Sunshine Away by M.O. Walsh. The bloggers all loved this book and there was a collective cheer when M.O. joined Twitter so we could tell him how much we enjoyed the book!
4. The Secrets of Midwives by Sally Hepworth. This multi-generational family story had so much win about it!
5. Along The Infinite Sea by Beatriz Williams. Highly anticipated. Worth every second. Utterly enjoyable.
Plus a blast from the past!
Yes. I still love this book. I know. Don’t judge.

So- what do you think? Did I mention a book that you thought was worth the hype? Tell me!

BIGLAW by Lindsay Cameron is definitely worth the hype!
Is it? I haven’t read that yet!
Yay for My Sunshine Away – made my list too! I finally read The Nightingale over Thanksgiving and really enjoyed it, but it didn’t completely blow me away commensurate with all the hype. I wonder what I would’ve thought about it had I read it before all the hype. And I agree with you on Gone Girl…no judging here!
I saw that! I read The Nightingale in the very early days of it being out- but I just thought the story was beautiful (even though I did ugly cry!) And yay for no judging- I don’t know if I’ll evern quit loving Gone Girl. 🙂
I chose Along The Infinite Sea also. I forgot about The Secrets of Midwives. They both were very good.
I haven’t read The Nightingale or Gone Girl.
Great Picks, T.
I have a few more listed on my post.

I saw your list- you picked some great sounding ones! I think The Nightingale would be a you book!
The Nightingale is waiting on my shelf… hope to get to it soon. And I’m looking forward to Along the Infinite Sea.
Enjoy both of those books! They are so good!
I haven’t read any of these books but I’d love to read Along the Infinite Sea since I read her first two books and really enjoyed them.
Oh yes! You may want to read Tiny Little Thing (her 3rd book) before you read this one!
Well, My Sunshine Away is DEFINITELY one of my favorite books this year; I did find it through a blogger (Sarah’s Book Shelves), but then was also able to hear him speak at the Arkansas Literary Festival which was AWESOME. If the library would stop sending me notifications about books I’ve been waiting to read (Fates & Furies!!) I could get to Along the Infinite Sea – ha! What a great list, Tamara! Thank you!
lol- I love how we all loved My Sunshine Away! So cool that you got to hear him speak- he came to Jackson, MS for a book signing and I got to meet him. I missed him at Louisiana Book Fest (I didn’t get to go like I had hoped). Oh that library- should I call them and tell them to stop calling you? 🙂
Still need to read The Nightingale!
YASSSSSSSS. I agree 🙂
I’ve read no 1, 4, and 5 and loved especially 1 and 5 and really enjoyed 4. Nice picks!
Thank you! I have a feeling if we lived near each other- we would be sharing books all the time since we like so many of the same!
Ok ok you’ve really got me wanting to read the Nightingale now!
I really don’t want to overhype this book. But I loved it! LOVED it
I haven’t read any of these yet! Gahhh!
Oh I hope you will read some of them soon! 🙂
I love how you added a blast from the past to your list – and I STILL love Gone Girl too.
I just don’t think I’m ever going to get tired of that book 🙂
