A Likely Story
Lindsey Norris, Briar Creek librarian, is having a normal day. Some book talk, the craft-afternoon group being there, and talk of her love life. All in all, a normal day for Miss Lindsey.
When it’s time to take some books out to one of the islands for Stewart Rosen- Lindsey’s ex, Sully, gladly runs her out there- hoping to spend a little time talking with her.
When they arrive at the island, though, something is amiss. Stewart is not there to greet them. This causes both Lindsey and Sully some alarm- especially Sully, because he knows from first hand experience how protective the brothers are of the island and how they set traps for trespassers.
What Lindsey and Sully find, though, shakes them- especially when another surprise pops up for the Chief of Police.
Lindsey knows she must find Stewart- for his sake as well as for others.
But where does an elderly man go who rarely leaves the island?
One thing is for certain- with Lindsey on the case- this case is good as solved!
Traveling With T’s Thoughts:
Being a long time fan of Jenn McKinlay (both her Cupcake and Library books are auto buys for me)- I was eager to see the new book in the Library Lover series. (So eager, I actually read this book as soon as I was approved- which means I have to wait even LONGER to know what’s next for Lindsey!)
What I enjoy the most about is the Library Lover’s series is the town and characters. The setting is charming and the characters are wonderful. I also adore Heathcliff- the dog of Lindsey’s.
When I sit down with a Jenn McKinlay book- I feel like I am sitting down with old friends!
The love triangle between Lindsey, Sully and Robbie is still entertaining. Personally, I’m torn on who Lindsey should choose. Both men complement her in different ways. I do caution Jenn McKinlay to not let the love triangle go on for tooooooooo long, like
Joanne Fluke some author who will not be named. We are nowhere near the length of that- but fans want and deserve a triangle to end in a reasonable amount of time.
Beth! She may have some good news in this book!
All in all, another glorious visit to Briar Creek- and I’ll be anxiously counting down the days to the next book!
