Today is day 2 of #AMonthOfFaves! Today’s prompt is going to be super fun- because it’s 5 Faves by a Theme- and there ain’t nothing better than I like to pull out my sparkly notebooks, glittery pens and make a list. I hemmed and hawed- but finally decided that Book Boyfriends Who Stole Your Heart will be my theme. Don’t forget to check out Girlxoxo and Estella’s Revenge (I just know those 2 chickadees have come up with something so outrageously fun!) And in case you are just now joining in- check out the link for all the prompts of the month- A Month of Favorites!
I love book boyfriends. Except, I don’t call them book boyfriends. I call them #literarycrushes. I have had quite a few over the years- Luke Brandon from Confessions of a Shopaholic, Joe Morrelli from Stephanie Plum series, Peeta from The Hunger Games (no judging!) and many more. But, I was severely lacking in a #literarycrush from an actual romance book- heck the authors who dream up the book boyfriends that make women swoon, and I hadn’t found one that beat my current rotation. Until……
I now have a new rotation of book boyfriends and I’m so glad to introduce them to you! Some are from the romance books I was reading this year- and a couple are from other books I read this year.
1. Jack Holland from IN YOUR DREAMS by Kristan Higgins
Jack is good-looking, polite, and he knows his wine. Plus he can cook. Enough said.
2. The O’Neil Brothers from Snow Creek series by Sarah Morgan
Meet the O’Neil men- Jackson, Sean and Tyler. All hot, all with a passion for life…. and for the women in their life. Each brother brings a set of *ahem* charms that will make you wish they could be more than a book boyfriend. Just enough steam in the books with the happily ever after ending = YES!
3. Christian from Ingrid Thoft’s Fina Ludlow series
Christian is one of Fina’s “friends”. They have an arrangement and it works. But I think Christian might just be eligible for boyfriend material for our Fina. And the way he feels about her, tries to protect her and the chemistry they have- well, that’s book boyfriend material in my book.
4. Nick Fox from the Fox and O’Hare series by Janet Evanovich
Nick Fox is a master of 80’s television shows. He’s a con man. He’s sexy as hell. And he always manages to escape trouble. His witty bantering with his partner- Kate, is fresh and fun- and the pages just fly in their interactions. The flirtation between them is hot. Nick Fox (Think White Collar meets Ocean Eleven) is the total package.
5. Jake Brogan from Hank Phillippi Ryan’s Jane and Jake series
Jake Brogan is a Boston police detective. He’s passionate about his job. He’s charming. He’s fun. He SMOLDERS. And he’s the last man on my book boyfriend list.
I hope you enjoyed hearing about some of the book boyfriends of mine! Do you have a book boyfriend?
Happy Reading and Bookishly Yours,
T @ Traveling With T

Just a heads up! I added a linky over at my blog for today’s posts!
I love the idea of this. Who would my book boyfriends be? Definitely Jamie from Outlander, but that’s a totally predictable choice on my part. lol
Psst.. I have a #literaryconfession: I’ve never read the Outlander series- so like I know why ladies love Jamie from the gushing about him- but I’ve never experienced it first hand. 😦
I’ve read the first two. I don’t generally read the bigger books but loved the first one.
I love that you call them #literarycrushes 🙂
🙂 🙂 IT just popped in my head one day and I loved it so much- it stuck around 🙂
Colonel Brandon from Sense and Sensibility and Mr Darcy for Pride and Prejudice top my book boyfriends list.
I’ve not read S&S- but Mr. Darcy = swoon!
Noah from the Notebook, Jake from A Time to Kill, Mr Darcy, Pride & Prejudice, Ranger from One for the Money and #5 is a toss up between Lon from the Notebook-(yes, you want Allie with Noah but her romance with Lon was something special) and Nick Fox.
Love your book boyfriends list!!!
