Billionaire Blend
Cleo Coyle is BUSY. The Village Blend is packed. And there is a man that is coming in every day- asking her baristas about these complicated or little known coffee drinks. When Claire sees him, she decides to take his order and try to see what’s up with him- and cut him off from poaching her baristas- if that is what he’s after (which she thinks!) Before Claire can figure out about the man- something happens.
An explosion. Now in Claire’s world- an explosion is not an everyday occurrence- but Claire keeps her cool. Assesses the situation. And decides to get to the bottom of the explosion and figure out why someone wanted to kill that man.
When Claire finds out who the man is- Eric Thorner- she finds out that not only he is loaded; he also has many folks in his life that would gladly kill him for access to his fame and fortune. Eric is not finished with Claire, either. He hires her and Matteo to find the best coffee for a project, unites Joy and Claire to create a menu that will get him invited to the best party, and showers Claire with presents and attention.
Mike, Claire’s lover, is worried. Claire is getting deeper in Eric’s world- and he doesn’t want her to get hurt. Since he’s spending so much time in DC and his job is increasingly demanding- Claire worries about him, as well.
Will Claire find out who is trying to kill the golden goose? Or does the billionaire tech boy have a few secrets up his sleeve?
Traveling With T’s Thoughts:
I love Cleo Coyle. My brother bought me her first 3 books years ago- and I became a fan. Her main character, Claire, is wonderful. Funny, smart, knowledgeable about coffee.
The mystery is always interesting- with twists and turns- and characters that you, the reader, really want to know. Pure cozy and quite delightful.
The romance between Mike and Claire, the mother/daughter relationship between Joy and Claire, and the chemistry/friendship between Matteo and Claire- all strike me as so real, so interesting, so page-turning.
Grab a coffee, a biscotti, and prop your feet up while enjoying BILLIONAIRE BLEND.
Happy Reading and Bookishly Yours,
