Author Spotlight: Elizabeth Maxwell reveals her #literaryconfessions

author spotlight

So yesterday, I had Elizabeth Maxwell at the bloggy-blog chit-chatting about Sadie, the cover of HAPPILY EVER AFTER, and much more. Today, though, we’re going to be all relaxed (think fluffy bunny slippers relaxed) chatting about Elizabeth’s #literaryconfessions, fav books, and other things!

Author Spotlight: Elizabeth Maxwell

Elizabeth, what are your Top 3 Favorite books?

This is hard but here goes:

Interpreter of Maladies, by Jhumpa Lahiri

Shining Through, by Susan Isaacs

Into Thin Air, by Jon Kraukauer

Do you prefer tree books? Or are you more of an e-reader fan?

I go both ways. When I’m at home, it’s usually ‘real’ books. When I’m traveling, it’s the e-reader all the way.

Do you have any #literaryconfessions, Elizabeth?

The first time I read Into Thin Air I was on a New York commuter train. I missed my stop completely and about an hour later looked up to find myself at the end of the line. At night. In the dark. Alone. But at least I finished the book….

Elizabeth, care to share a #literarycrush with the readers of Traveling With T?

Spenser from the Robert Parker series. I love a man who can fend off the bad guys with one hand and create a gourmet meal out of a can of sardines and ketchup with the other.

What is the best part of the book- the cover? The opening line? Or the ending?

The opening. Everything lies ahead, all the excitement and unexpected twists and heart pounding choices. Love a good opening!

What are 3 books on your To Be Read List?

The Lowland by Jhumpa Lahiri

Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
