Thanks to the bright minds of Rebecca (Love at First Book) and Allison (The Book Wheel), in response to their 50 Bookish Things You Must Do Before You Die– I decided to create my own. Mine will most definitely be a more evolving list- updated as I think of things or actually complete things. Some will be outlandish wishes- while others will be very do-able. Join in the fun and make a book-ish bucket list of your own 🙂
Traveling With T’s Book-ish Bucket List
1. Write a blurb for a book.
2. Be an inspiration for a character.
3. Have a book dedicated to me/ or have someone write “Thanks” to me in Acknowledgements
4. Attend Girlfriend’s Getaway Weekend in Jefferson, TX.
5. Take my Key West Food Critic Mysteries books to Key West, FL for sightseeing/picture opportunity.
6. Host my very own Online Book Club on Traveling With T.
7. Take part in more blogging events
8. Literary Road Trip (with the help of Deep South Mag’s Literary Trail App)
9. To actually print and use business cards
10. For my blogging, tweeting, and other things I do in the book world to lead to more involvement in the world of books (more of an active role in the publicity development)
11. Reviewing books for more publishers.
12. To plan a week at the beach- with some of the best beach reads for summer and to do nothing but read, enjoy the beach and leave the phone in the hotel.
13. To meet Sue Grafton. I have been a fan of Kinsey (her character) for so many years and would love to meet her.
14. To attend more book events.

Oh, I dream of writing a blurb for a book. 😀 Great bookish bucket list!
I knew that! I hope it happens one day for you 🙂 Thank you! 🙂 🙂
I love this list!!! I’m so glad you’re joining in with us!!! 🙂
A week at the beach minus your cell phone sounds amazing!!! That’s why I love going on a cruise: no cell phone usage!
I also love your idea of being inspiration for a character. Do you have an author friend who might write about you? Also, you want to write a blurb that is published on the back of a book??? That is sooo cool!!!! What a great goal!!!
I’m fairly certain I don’t want to be inspiration for a character – I’d be the bossy know-it-all (I just KNOW it!)
Hahaha!!!!
🙂 🙂 Gotta play to your strengths 🙂 🙂 hahaha!
True!
Thanks Rebecca 🙂
I do “know” some authors- some I have met through various events and stay in touch with. So, who knows? Maybe one day I’ll be the inspiration for a character? 🙂
Book Blurbs and Covers are so important to me- I just would love to see my name on a cover telling about a book!
I’ve only been on one cruise- and I hardly got to read (I went with some friends who did not understood the importance of relaxing with a good book while on ship, lol).
The last cruise I went on was like that, too! I was so upset because the girls wanted to chat the whole time. Chatting is amazing, but I needed a little bit on time in the sun with my book!
Agreed! Exactly!
I’m so excited that you have this! I’m not sure what “Girlfriend’s Getaway Weekend in Jefferson, TX” but I am tempted to add it to my list. Awesome goals!
I forget her name, Kathy Johnson or Patrick (I really forget!), I think tho- anyway she’s a hairstylist in Jefferson Tx, has a book, and has online book clubs under the name of Pulpwood Queens Book Club (I think that’s the name). She also sponsors/hosts a weekend where authors and fans come, hang out, sign books, go to events. Just google it and you’ll see what I’m talking about. It’s usually 50 authors (or more) and supposed to be super fun!
OOoooh, fun!
I think it would be fun to attend. It’s def something I’d like to do at least once!
I saw the link and had to stop by!!! I don’t consider myself a major book blogger but I’ve done two on your bucket list. I’ve been named in the thank you section and I have bought and used business cards, I just ordered new ones in fact.
Great list!!!!
Thanks 🙂
I used to never think about business cards till I found myself at Booktopia last summer & people were handing them out and asking for mine- and I’m like “uhh no business cards”. On the other hand, Susan Greg Gilmore overheard me saying something in the intro area (most of us were carrying Vera Bradley bags) and I was like “These are the things that connect us, intertwine us in each other’s life” (or something like that). Her and Ellen F. Brown came over and told me that Susan had written it down as something she might use in a future book. And then I fan girl squealed 🙂
I don’t know if I am a major book blogger or not (I guess if you have to think you probably aren’t right?) BUT I love blogging. And talking about books 🙂
Thanks for coming by!
Tamara, I just added a Mr. Linky to the 50 Bookish Things page, so I’d love for you to head over and link up here!
I will!
Hooray! You are into literary roadtrips, too! Woot, woot! I need to put my beginnings of a list up. From yours I added my #25 ~ so great to “meet” you via #bloggiesta!
Love Literary Road Trips! I live near several places that are of literary importance!
Yay! Glad that my list could help you! I can’t wait to read your list! Great to meet you via #bloggiesta!
The TX trip sounds great. I’ve been to the O. Henry Hotel in NC (my home state) for a wedding which is mentioned on the Literary Travels in the Deep South app you mentioned. Can’t wait to find new places to visit around NC and further South. Great list!
Thank you!
I’ve got a few new things to add (and subtract a couple of things that I have achieved!) I just LOVE the sound of a literary road trip. Slice of heaven, if you ask me!
