Literary Friday ya’ll…

Ya’ll… The walk this morning was killer. If sweat is fat cells crying- my fat cells were CRYING.

Thanks to @stmartinspress { partner} for the gifted copy of Nora Roberts’s latest book ( releasing tomorrow!) Hideaway. . . Can I admit something? It was 2019 before I read my first Nora Roberts book. I’ve been reading for YEARS & for some reason had never read any of her books. Before ya’ll all gang up & want to take my reader card away- I’ve now read 3 of her books ( well listened to 1). . . This was def a family saga with romantic suspense elements in it ( in my opinion) & I really enjoyed the story. Plus that cover 👍 . . From my review: “Bottom Line: While I may be new to the genius of Nora Roberts- I am a fan now. Give me more!” . . 3. Me and my brother.

Me & my brother. Today, we buried my grandmother- our last grandparent. Rain was in the forecast- but held off long enough for the service, to listen to my great-aunt talk about my grandma ( her sister) & to see some family that we only see every once in a while.

5. Talking about June goals- one goal: Read 8-10 books this month!

Blue skies, a nice breeze & listening 🎧 to The Wife Stalker started my Monday morning off on the right foot ( that 2.5 mile walk also helped ❤️) . . It’s June 1st & I would love to talk goals with you- do you have any in mind? . . Health goals: 1. Continue my 2 walks a day. 2. Continue doing my chair dips ( my arms need some work) 3. Add in my elliptical trainer for an extra workout each day. 4. Stay hydrated! . . Reading/Blog Goals: 1. Read 8-10 books. 2. Blog 3 times a week ( at least) 3. Begin organizing my bookmail into a spreadsheet with Pub contact info. . . Personal goals: 1. Take some time for myself- the last few weeks I’ve felt busy with a whole bunch of demands on my time- I need to take care of me. 2. You may remember my recent selfie with this book as I was SO excited to get it ( and boy, did it live up to my expectations!) . . From my review: “The relationship amongst the cast of characters. All of them have reasons to not trust people, to be afraid to ask for what they want out of life, to sit in the corner and sulk that life dealt them a bad hand. But the bond- even when the bond is not completely apparent- is something that really worked in this book.” . . Looking for a great summer read?
