Literary Friday ya’ll…

 

Another day, another run to go see a dr for daddy’s eyes (he’s doing good!) The Tambulance will probably be rolling next week again as we have another appointment and I am hoping that we will be slacking up on appointments soon.

In other news- today is Valentine’s Day and THE SUN IS FINALLY SHINING after days of rain and gray skies and I almost cried with joy when I woke up this morning and saw the sun (oh I’ve missed you friend!)

{ partner} You know the feeling when you see a book cover, read the description & think ‘this is going to be good!!’? . . I totally had the feeling about Been There, Married That. I had been reading a lot of suspense-y/thriller-y books & I wanted some snark. Some laughs. Something different. . . Eh, this did not hit the mark for me. . . This book, I think, would have flown under my radar if @writerrhiannon hadn’t privately messaged me & raved so much about this book that I had to immediately run to Netgalley to request it! . . I’ll admit that the cover was a big part in my request decision- it’s gorgeous, yet dark & mysterious. . . Ellison’s- Good Girls Lie is def one of my favorite stand alones by her ( it’s def on par with her Lie To Me- which I LOVED!) . . 12. Not going to lie- I clapped my hands when I found this book gem in a box the other week. ❤

 

13. Sometimes love is a plate of chicken strips. Especially when you’ve been trying VERY hard to eat right. And YOU didn’t go to Walmart (or Walgreens) and buy the bag of Ghirardelli chocolate that you normally would have picked up as a Valentine’s day treat your self treat.
