Literary Friday ya’ll..

I know ya’ll think I have forgotten about Lit Friday- I haven’t. I’ve just been not making it a priority because LIFE.

Some quick updates:

My nieces were in town last weekend and if I had to watch Spongebob Squarepants ONE MORE TIME- I was going to die. Also, when my almost 3 year old niece tore apart the whole red board on the game Guess Who? I died a bit inside because that game is a PAIN to put back together.

Also? I was suffering from a major sinus-y thing that I had caught the LAST time the kids were over. Sigh.

The whole living with diabetes thing has been….. challenging at times. I’ve lost a few pounds and today I had my lowest fasting blood sugar EVER ( gold star ⭐ for T!) and so that is great. And I’m not like hungry ALL the time. I do want a cookie. But what I really want is a pile of piping hot french fries- salted to perfection (mmmmmmmmmm….)

I begin my walking plan next week- I wanted to make sure I was over this cold before starting that. Anyone got audiobook recommendations or a music list that totally makes you want to dance?

{ partner @littlebirdpublicity @harlequinbooks } I’m a day late & dollar short on wishing @robyncarrwriter a happy Pub day for her latest book, The Country Guesthouse, but when most of Pub Day is tied up in the eye doctors office- well… you just gotta roll with things. . . About The Country Guesthouse: #1 New York Times bestselling author Robyn Carr delivers an emotional and triumphant novel about the fierce power of a mother’s love. A summer rental, a new beginning… Hannah Russell’s carefully crafted plans for her life have been upended without warning. When her best friend died suddenly, Hannah became guardian to a five-year-old named Noah. With no experience at motherhood, she’s terrified she’s not up to the challenge. She and Noah need time to get to know each other, so she decides to rent a country house with stunning views on a lake in rural Colorado. When they arrive at the house, they are greeted by the owner, a handsome man who promises to stay out of their way. But his clumsy Great Dane, Romeo, has other ideas and Noah immediately bonds with the lovable dog. As Hannah learns to become a mother, Owen Abrams, who is recovering from his own grief, can’t help but be drawn out of his solitude by his guests. But life throws more challenges at this unlikely trio and they are tested in ways they never thought possible. All three will discover their strengths and, despite their differences, they will fight to become a family. And the people of Sullivan’s Crossing will rally around them to offer all of the support they need. . . This is book 5 in the Sullivan’s Crossing series- have you read any of those books? . . #genxbookstagrammers #travelingwithtreads #thecountryguesthouse #robyncarr
