Mine
Summary: Tessa was prepared for the hurricane. Lindsey was the storm she didn’t see coming.
When Tessa Taylor unlocked her husband Ethan’s iPad to discover nude photos from a twenty-six-year-old bombshell named Lindsey, her seemingly perfect life came to a screeching halt.
With a hurricane barreling toward Florida and Ethan stuck on a business trip, Tessa finds herself imprisoned in her own home with a choice to make: Does she ride out the storm until she can confront Ethan in person, or does she take matters into her own hands?
Increasingly restless and desperate for revenge, Tessa resolves to act. And when she lures Lindsey over a few hours later, there’s no turning back.
What ensues is a battle of wills between two well-matched opponents, blinded by love for the same man but driven by demons of their own. Like storm-ravaged Florida, neither woman will be the same when the skies clear.
Traveling With T’s Thoughts:
Over the years, I have watched many episodes of Days of Our Lives- AND I know things like marital affairs are bad- but they usually do provide some entertainment. Now, I can’t quote all the affairs I’ve watched via TV or read about and yes, sometimes, the wife really does have a plan to get even with the husband and/or mistress- BUT Mine is in a whole other ballgame.
Tessa is mad as hell and while she may not have a plan exactly- she’s got anger on her side and her anger takes her to a dark place.
What I liked:
How simple the cover is and yet- how poignant it is. That one word in red. Wow.
Tessa. She goes dark. She does more than flirt with crazy. Never quite sure what she would do- but entertaining as all get out.
The alternating chapters of view point from Lindsey and Tessa. Both viewpoints were needed for this story to work and they delivered.
Bottom line: The tension mounted with each chapter and Lindsey and Tessa were both playing to win. The ending was not as exciting as the earlier chapters- but all in all, it works. And perhaps give the readers some more to think about.

I’ve read a lot of marriage-gone-wrong books lately. They can be disturbing!
Totally can be disturbing. But also good 🙂
