It’s time for A Month of Faves! Join Girlxoxo, Estella’s Revenge and me for a month of fun!!!!
Today’s post:
MON. | Dec. 3 – #AMonthofFaves [The 2018 Favorites Edition]– e.g. to eat, drink, wear, smell, see, do, enjoy, best purchases, most used gift received, most used purchases, favorite concert, outdoor activity, place visited, most squee worthy moment of the year.
I REALLY need to get better about writing things down that I did over the year because as I was thinking about this post all I could think of was: Reading. Spending time with my nieces. Pampering the cats.
However, a quick flip through the phone reminded me that my life was more than those things…….
So… I’ll be sharing some pictures from the year and intermingling lists of fave things… 🙂
January- I had “the time of my life” at Dirty Dancing in Jackson…
February:
Time with two sweet nieces and bookish fun made February fun:
March was all about some Sweet Potato Queen fun.
Time for some lists of fun 🙂
Fave perfume: I’m still loving D&G Light Blue.
Fave Drink: Water and Mt. Dew. If I’m boozing it up- Amaretto Sours, Babaritas and Wine (Moscato!)
Fave TV Show: I’m still a Law and Order fan (love those re-runs!) but I also like The Resident and I recently started catching up on Younger.
Fave things to wear: I’m a total jeans girl and while I have struggled for years to find jeans that fit me just right, I’ve recently bought some new styles that feel more flattering. In summer, I live in sandals and shorts (when not in a bathing suit!)
April was Easter and fun at the Beau Rivage (look at all those flowers!)
May was all Book Expo. And the fetch Mean Girls!
June- my niece danced her heart out to Don’t Stop Believing and I was proud of her!
July, August and September kinda went by in a flurry of company, swimming, taking cats to vets, reading and bookstagramming….
October (getting better about using IG stories and doing a more casual photo with a good book 🙂 Oh and discovering a new fave wine…
November: Louisiana Book Festival, Voting and fun times at Callaway Gardens (and now I’m wondering why I don’t have more red in my closet? I’ve always been told BLUE is my color- but am I really a red gal? )
More lists!
Fave pen: Staedtler Triplus Fineliner (I will break your finger if you walk away with my pens!)
Fave social media: Instagram. Sorry, Twitter you used to be my #1, but Instagram has stolen my heart.
Fave winter shoes: It’s a toss us between my Uggs or Born boots. When I’m wearing my boots, I feel like a supermodel walking the catwalk (don’t ask me why- it’s just how I feel!) and my Uggs are just pure comfort.
Fave new dessert: I had some Mississippi Mud Pie in Baton Rouge and I have to say that is pretty much a winner.
Fun fact: I’m pretty much going to always eat steak and lobster at Longhorn’s Steakhouse.
Another fun fact: I’ll pretty much be your bestie if your idea of a good time is drinking hot chocolate, watching Christmas movies and riding around looking for Christmas lights.
It looks like I did have fun in 2018 🙂 🙂 🙂
Wanna link up with us and join in the fun of A Month of Faves?
*What was your fave part of my 2018 adventures?*
Happy Reading and Bookishly Yours,

Reading and your nieces seem to be a pretty good way to remember the year! And Instagram has had my heart for years. I LOVE it.
It is def a good way to remember the year 🙂
Instagram is such a happy place to be!
LOVE all of the photos.
My favorite is the Dirty Dancing photo.
Thank you! ❤ ❤
I had such a good time at Dirty Dancing!
I basically flipped through my photos to find favorite things too…I love Instagram too. TWitter, eh, not so much. And Facebook? Ugh…
Twitter is too difficult to manage. I use it, but not a favorite.
I like Facebook, My Blog, and Instagram the best. 🙂
I can manage Twitter, but it’s just become so not fun. 😦
Flipping through photos is easiest way for sure! Instagram is the BEST!
Instagram is my happy place. 😊 And jeans and flip-flops are my almost-year-round outfit.
