Trust Me

Summary: An accused killer insists she’s innocent of a heinous murder.

A grieving journalist surfaces from the wreckage of her shattered life.

Their unlikely alliance leads to a dangerous cat and mouse game that will leave you breathless.

Who can you trust when you can’t trust yourself?

Trust Me is the chilling standalone novel of psychological suspense and manipulation that award-winning author and renowned investigative reporter Hank Phillippi Ryan was born to write.

Traveling With T’s Thoughts:

So, listen. Hank Phillippi Ryan can basically write the phone book and I’m going to read it. I love her Jane Ryland series and was excited to see her venture in the world of stand alone books.

Now… this book bears a striking resemblance to the Casey Anthony case. I mean, it’s not exactly like it- but there are def parts of this book that will give you a chill as you remember the news coverage from Casey’s case.

So, for that- I was gripped and yet at times even repulsed- because that case is just so fresh in my mind.

What I Liked:

The cover. I don’t usually go for red covers, but this book needed a red cover. Totally worked.

The cat and mouse game. Totally honest: I really was never sure where HPR was heading with the story.

Bottom line: As I said in my Goodreads review: “Suspenseful. Well written. Must read!” And that pretty much sums it up. 🙂
