Cooper’s Charm

Summary:  One summer, two sisters and a chance to start over…

Before the burglary that shattered her confidence, Phoenix Rose had a fiancé, a successful store and a busy, happy existence. After months spent adrift, she takes a job at the lakeside resort of Cooper’s Charm. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, friendly colleagues and a charismatic, widowed boss, Phoenix is slowly inching her way back into the world.

Visiting Cooper’s Charm to check up on her little sister, Ridley Rose impulsively agrees to fill in as housekeeper. Still reeling from an ego-bruising divorce, she finds satisfaction in a job well done—and in the attention of the resort’s handsome scuba instructor.

For Phoenix and Ridley, Cooper’s Charm is supposed to be merely temporary. But this detour may lead to the place they most need to be, where the future is as satisfying as it is surprising…

 

Traveling With T’s Thoughts:

I’d never read a Lori Foster book before but remember some of her previous covers (think  a steamy, sexy man that had a very manly career) and was usually hesitant to try them because I like my romances with a heavy dash of sweetness.

However, after I was approached about this book and I saw the cover (how can you NOT love this cover?!) I thought I’d give Lori a try.

What I liked:

The cover. So cute. So charming.

The sisters. Phoenix and Ridley have both had reasons to stick their heads in the sand and let life pass them by. But both are ready to move on from their problems and have some fun. LOVE.

The setting. I could totally visualize the type of place that Lori was writing about. It was a cute vacation place and one that I wish I could really visit.

 

Bottom line: A really cute book. Perhaps a touch steamier of a romance than what the cover would lead you to believe- but very readable. I look forward to seeing what happens next in this fictional world that Lori Foster has created.
