Chasing Christmas Eve

Summary:

Meet cute…

Run for the hills—temporarily. That’s Colbie Albright’s plan when she flees New York for San Francisco. Wrangling her crazy family by day and writing a bestselling YA fantasy series by night has taken its toll. In short, Colbie’s so over it that she’s under it. She’s also under the waters of a historic San Francisco fountain within an hour of arrival. Fortunately, the guy who fishes Colbie out has her looking forward to Christmas among strangers. But she’s pretty sure Spencer Baldwin won’t be a stranger for long.

Make merry…

Spence’s commitment to hiding from the Ghosts of Relationships Past means he doesn’t have to worry about the powerful—okay, crazy hot chemistry—he’s got with Colbie. Just because she can laugh at anything, especially herself… just because she’s gorgeous and a great listener just because she gets Spence immediately doesn’t mean he won’t be able to let Colbie go. Does it?

and hope for a miracle.

Now the clock’s ticking for Colbie and Spence: Two weeks to cut loose. Two weeks to fall hard. Two weeks to figure out how to make this Christmas last a lifetime.

Traveling With T’s Thoughts:

Something about knowing that the holidays (while not here yet and yes, it’s currently 80+ degrees where I live, BUT that they will be here in just short months time) makes me want to read holiday themed books. Especially when they have gorgeous covers. Especially when the cover is THIS gorgeous!

So the book is a bit predictable at times- most HEA’s are- and NO, that’s not a slam to HEA’s- that’s what I want. I want them to get together, to have some reasons to stay apart, but to know that, in the end, they (life, love, etc) are THAT much better when they are together.

And can we discuss the hot geek aspect (said with tons of love and affection because Spencer is ten kinds of yummy)… I like guys with glasses. Smart guys. Nice guys. Guys with goals. Spencer is definitely dreamy….

What I liked:

The COVER!

The characters!

And how it was just the perfect read to get me in the mindset of beginning to think about the upcoming holidays!

Bottom line: This will pair perfectly with a day of relaxing in cozy warm socks with a mug of hot cocoa in hand!
