I cat sit most of the week for another lady in town and my cats were none too happy as it altered their routine. I also took a time out for a mani for my upcoming vacation 🙂
1. News from around the web: Suzy Approved Reviews reviews Secrets of Tulip Sisters, Write on Cindy is giving away Final Girls, Bookfan reviews Beach House for Rent, Novelgossip reviews A Stranger in the House (a Ten Mysteries To Keep You On Your Toes Through Summer book), Always With A Book reviews Bring Her Home, and OnDBookshelf reviews The Break Down.
2. I was in the pool a few days ago, soaking up the sun (with Sunscreen on!) and kept noticing this butterfly moving around from zinnia to zinnia. I watched it for awhile and then decided to try to get a picture of it. Here is the picture and this is why all the hard work I put into my flower garden is worth it- my flowers bring all the hummingbirds and butterflies to the yard….
3. #FridayReads: Just finished Emma In The Night by Wendy Walker.
*What are you reading this weekend?*
Happy Reading and Bookishly Yours,
T @ Traveling With T
Oooh – how’s the Wendy Walker?! I have that one waiting for me, but haven’t gotten to it yet. I had kind of a love/hate relationship with All is Not Forgotten…had some major issues with it but also couldn’t stop reading.
At first, it didn’t grip me like her debut did. I had issues with the narrator, but I also couldn’t put the book down. However, I was only able to read in small bursts for some of this week- when I finished it, I had read a good chunk of the story in one sitting and was able to really enjoy the flow of the book.
I think her debut might be more memorable, but Emma in The Night is very readable and I would love to see it made in a movie!
Awesome photo! Thanks for the shoutout 🙂
Thank you!!!!
I have Emma in the Night waiting to be read. I, like Sarah, had some issues with her debut, so we’ll see how this one goes. Enjoy your vacation!
Thank you! Emma in the Night has a lot good for it I think (so I hope you like it!)
