The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving A F*ck

Are you stressed out, overbooked, and underwhelmed by life? Fed up with pleasing everyone else before you please yourself? It’s time to stop giving a f*ck.

This brilliant, hilarious, and practical parody of Marie Kondo’s bestseller The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up explains how to rid yourself of unwanted obligations, shame, and guilt–and give your f*cks instead to people and things that make you happy.

The easy-to-use, two-step NotSorry Method for mental decluttering will help you unleash the power of not giving a f*ck about:

Family drama
Having a “bikini body”
Co-workers’ opinions, pets, and children
And other bullsh*t! And it will free you to spend your time, energy, and money on the things that really matter. So what are you waiting for? Stop giving a f*ck and start living your best life today!

Traveling With T’s Thoughts:

After reading Sarah Knight’s apology to authors (and laughing so hard, I did not hear the UPS driver come in the office) I felt confident that Sarah Knight’s book The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck would be a welcome addition to my bookshelf.

I read this book early in 2016 and I really say I felt EMPOWERED. But, could it work for me? I’m not all sunshine, sugar, glitter and rainbows- but I do try to be polite, think of others feelings, etc.

HOWEVER, I had been in a funk. I had been having some issues with some people that would just not go away. They wanted to talk about the same things over and over. Beat that dead horse. And I was tired. I’d tried the polite method. I was getting closer to the edge of using major F bombs and then I read this book and I realized that I was allowing way too many of my F’s to be given to something that was no longer productive, nor was something that I cared any longer about. So, I stopped. I TOOK MY F’s BACK and I said NO MORE. They were mine to use as I damn well felt to use them.

So, empowered.

Over the summer, I faltered a bit (I’ve heard relapse can be a tricky mistress) but I picked my book back up, refreshed myself on some of Sarah’s advice and I feel fortified to withstand the battle of people wanting my F’s for all sorts of things that I don’t care to give.

Now, some of Sarah’s book does not apply to me (I do not work in a corporate world like she did and therefore I can wear pretty much anything I desire to work). I also do not have to attend meetings like she did.

I’m still working on applying the #NotSorry method with some family members, but I’ll get there. Baby steps, y’know…

Bottom line: The amount of F’s used in this book did not bother me 1 bit as I’ve been known to drop a few- especially when I’m trying to make a valid point. Sarah has a humorous way of writing- so you are learning something (and laughing!) Recommended.
