Happy New Year from Traveling With T!
Today is the first day of 2016 and I can smell the possibilities in the air. The possibility of love. New friendships. New directions with my blog (don’t worry- there will still be plenty of book talk- but I’m wanting to get more personal at times. Explore other topics a bit. We’ll see how it all shakes out.)
It’s the first day of the new year- and while I could go crazy with ideas and resolutions- I’m not. I want to let myself be truly open to possibilities that can enrich my life- but I’m not going to make a huge list of resolutions.
I want to look up in the sky and see the stars and know that for as many stars as there are- that is how many possibilities that I can let myself be open to.
2016-I’ll be saying “no” to things. Not things that enrich my life- but the things that others want me to do that I don’t really want to do. The people that aren’t really my friends- the ones who only want me around to do things for them. I’m saying no. Not meanly. Not because I don’t wish them well. But because I matter. My time matters. I MATTER.
I’m hoping 2016 will bring fun experiences- bucket list type experiences- learning to surf, master a few conversational phrases in Italian or French to use on a trip, learning to appreciate a fine bottle of wine in the Napa Valley, and more!
But I also hope 2016 will bring me every day things that I have been craving: finding new friends- friends that I can call and count on for plans, love, finding ways to turn my passion for book blogging and working with authors into more of a job.

My Blog
I’m using the word NO more this year. I’m saying no to people who are just using me to further their agenda in bookish ways. I’m not going to keep working hard for people who don’t appreciate me.
Happy New Year! This year I want to read more, be on social media less, enjoy time with friends and family. Basically I want to stop and smell the roses. Wishing all your dreams for 2016 come true.
That is a lovely plan for 2016! Good luck!
