Gossamer Ghost

It’s Halloween in the great city of New Orleans and Carmela is looking forward to kicking up her heels all week long! She knows her side-kick Ava will be up for some spooky fun and she’s also looking forward to spending time with her hunky squeeze- Edgar. After a late night at her shop planning the scrapbooking class schedule, Carmela begins to gather up supplies and leave. Until…..

Something catches her attention and she goes into the store next door- an antique store that sells quite odd items. What she discovers sends chills down Carmela- a body!

Finding the body of Marcus Joubert puts a damper on Carmela’s Halloween spirit- and with Edgar telling her not to look in the case- well what is Carmela to do? Against Edgar’s wishes- she begins to look into the case at the request of Mavis, Marcus’s assistant and fiancee.

While murder is what caught Carmela’s attention- she soon finds there is more this story than meets the eye- stolen property, shady deals and a list of suspects keep Carmela busy. Carmela and Ava aren’t going to let a little murder and stolen property damper their Halloween spirit too much- although… if someone has their way- this is the last Halloween the dynamic duo will celebrate!

Traveling With T’s Thoughts:

New Orleans. Food. Scrapbooking. Halloween. And a mystery. It’s just another day in Carmela’s life- and I LOVE it. I love Carmela and Ava- they are the dynamic duo!

The mystery was good- Carmela had several suspects- but when the murderer was revealed- well, I did not even suspect THAT person.

Honestly- if you’ve enjoyed the other Scrapbooking series books- then I see no reason why you won’t enjoy this one. I cannot wait for Laura’s next book- and to be able to tag along on Carmela and Ava’s next adventure!
