Literary Friday, ya’ll…

literary friday

Well today is actually Saturday instead of Friday, but I’ll still call it Literary Friday!

1. Deep South Magazine and their #literaryfriday: Revealing the Summer Reading List, Chipotle’s New Literary Cups, RL Stine news, #bellesonwheels recap, and much more!

2. Traveling With T has several giveaways happening: STRANGER ON THE SHORE by Josh Lanyon, THE HOUSE ON MERMAID POINT by Wendy Wax, PUSH by Claire Wallis, BREAKING POINT by Lindsay McKenna.

3. Are you participating in Bout of Books 10? If you are, YAY! My Bout of Books is not going as well as I expected- but I have finished THE UNEXPECTED WALTZ. And SAVED BY THE BELLES.

4. Looking for Beach Reads? Traveling With T has compiled a list of books that look AMAZING for those summer days! Some mystery/suspense, stories of friendship, women’s fiction, romance and much more! Traveling With T’s Beach Reads 2014 looks pretty good (and if you love Pinterest, visit 2014 Beach Reads and pin some books!

5. What are your Friday Reads? Mine is THE VACATIONERS by Emma Straub.

Happy Reading and Bookishly Yours,

  1. I also like to keep feature names the same even if I end up posting late 🙂 I’m currently reading The Orphans of Race Point and I’m excited to see your review of The Vacationers!

    • Exactly! Just keeps me straight when I start to look back for a post. I spent some of Friday Facetiming with my niece ( and then had a mound of laundry to do) so I didn’t quite catch up with my blog like planned!

Allison and Rebecca sent me THE ORPHANS OF RACE POINT to read and I’m hoping to get to it in next few weeks. I’m not far enough into THE VACATIONERS to make a call yet, but I know some of the bloggers are split on it- I’ve seen a couple of people “like, not love” and a couple to “LOVE”. So we’ll see!

    • I have- his early stuff mainly. I read THE APPEAL (I think that was the name) back in 2008-ish, it was his new book at the time. I have not read SYCAMORE ROW, but I plan to 🙂 Did you read?

      • Melissa says:

I have read most of his books. I can’t remember if I read The Appeal but I started Sycamore (follow up to a Time to Kill) last night. I’m not sure if I read the book A Time to Kill but I have seen the movie several times.

      • Let me know when you finish SYCAMORE ROW! I have enjoyed the books of his I read, but I haven’t read that many! Have seen many of the movies, tho 🙂
