I’ve Got My Eyes On You
Summary: A new thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author and “Queen of Suspense” Mary Higgins Clark.
After a party when her parents are away, eighteen-year-old Kerry Dowling is found fully dressed at the bottom of the family pool.
The immediate suspect is her boyfriend who had a bitter argument with her at the party. Then there is a twenty-year-old neighbor who was angry because she didn’t invite him to the party.
Or is there someone else who has not yet been seen on the radar?
Kerry’s older sister Aline, a twenty-eight-year-old guidance counselor, is determined to assist the Prosecutor’s Office in learning the truth. She does not realize that now she is putting her own life in danger…
Traveling With T’s Thoughts:
I almost cannot write these words…. This book was not good to me. I have loved and enjoyed many, many, many of MHC’s books over the years. In fact one summer I basically read all that she had written thus far and was eager to read more.
I have not enjoyed her last couple or so that much- but I blamed that on the Willy and Alvirah factor since they have been in the last couple or so books (and I really can only tolerate in very small doses).
What I liked:
The cover. Eye catching!
What I didn’t like:
I knew who the bad person was the minute that it was introduced. 😦
The book never really hit a sweet spot. It felt disjointed.
I like how MHC has a big cast of characters and usually someone knows something that is critical to the case- only they don’t know it (how critical it is!) But this cast- it just didn’t work.
Bottom line: I’m just glad I purchased it on Kindle- where it was cheaper.

I’ve only read a few of her books

Her earlier ones are SO much better!
I loved MHC books as a teen. Haven’t read one in years, and when I saw this cover on your post, I thought I might like it. So glad you are candid in your review. Think I’ll skip this one!
I think just skip this one. Her earlier ones and even some of the more recently published are better imo!
