A few weeks ago, a publicist from Workman Publishing contacted me about a new series of books, Paint By Sticker,  they are publishing. Always up for something fun and relaxing to do- I emailed them back and they said they would send me a copy to play with + set aside a copy for my readers for a giveaway! SCORE!!!!!

 

So, are you ready to learn more about Paint By Sticker? Follow me….

Well, here’s the book. The image on the cover is the one  that I’ve been working on for a couple of weeks- a little here and there because I have not been able to sit down and get my sticker on! It pairs nicely with a glass of wine (Moscato for me!)

There are instructions in the book- and I casually glanced at them before I started. One of the instructions mentioned about these stickers being hard impossible to move so be sure that it’s exactly how you want to place it (They ain’t lying) Unfortunately my ladies hat has suffered a bit in places, but it’s ok!

How I sticker:

I flip the book to the image I’m working on (still the lady in the hat) and I’ve detached the sticker sheets for that image from the book. Much easier than flipping back and forth from image to stickers. I have been known to have glasses of wine and music or TV during this time- but honestly? The music makes me want to dance and I get engrossed in trying to solve the crime before Law and Order ends- so…. for me, I may just stick to the wine 🙂

 

What’s in the book:

Images with blank places for the sticker. 2 pages of stickers for each book- all labeled.

 

Fun Level:

SUPER fun. I’m able to block out a half hour or so here and there and get my creative on without having to drag out my paint or scrapbooking supplies. It’s low key fun. I also love to color, but sometimes adult coloring frustrates me because my fingers start to hurt from the coloring pencils and the superrrrrrrrrrrr-detailed images can make me feel like a failure because my finished product does not always look that spiffy. I’m not feeling that stress  with Paint By Sticker 🙂
