Happy 4th of July folks! 🙂 🙂
I’ve always been a sucker for some red, white and blue so when I saw these pinwheels at Lowe’s I knew they would perfectly complement my red and white petunias. You can barely see it- but because my daddy loves me lots and I was complaining loudly about not being able to find a blue planter-well, he made me one. Yep, my daddy’s handy and I’m clearly the favorite child 🙂 🙂
What are you doing for the 4th? We had a big BBQ on Saturday so the 4th will be quiet at my house (just steaks and fresh corn grilled on the grill!) My reading plans are casual- reading the latest Lowcountry book by Susan M. Boyer!
Wherever you are and however you celebrate- enjoy the 4th of July!
Happy Reading and Bookishly Yours,

We’ll walk to the park to see the parade and then come back to grill something for lunch. Then it’s off to another park for our granddaughter’s birthday party. Fireworks tonight but we watch them from the house. Have a fun day!
What a lovely way to spend the 4th! 🙂 I hope it was a super fun day!
Being Canadian myself we celebrated our amazing country on Friday July 1st with a huge party at our cottage that also doubled as a surprise 70th for my hard-to-surprise Dad. That means today it’s back to work for me. Wishing you and your fellow Americans a very happy July 4th!!
Happy (way late) Canada Day!!!! 🙂 That surprise party sounds fab 🙂
