Tiny Little Thing
Tiny (real name Christina) is on the brink for good things. Married to a man with high political aspirations, Tiny- with her perfect ways and desire to show a perfect life, could be the best politician’s wife.
Tiny, on the outside, is the type of woman to strive to be. Poised, accomplished, beautiful- she is the type of woman that the words “lady of the house” are designed to describe.
However, on the inside….
Tiny is a mess. She questions her future, she thinks about events that happened 2 years earlier- and she wonders about her marriage.
With Frank’s political future bright, Tiny knows there is no room for mistakes- because all it will take is a whiff of scandal to taint Frank’s future. So, when Pepper (Tiny’s sister) arrives, a photo with the intent to blackmail Tiny and cause harm to Frank’s future surfaces, and Frank’s cousin- the Vietnam war hero Caspian comes to Cape Cod- Tiny begins to see that past and present are on a collision course.
With politics, secrets, and characters that you could just eat up with a spoon- TINY LITTLE THING is sure to please fans of Beatriz Williams and lovers of a historical fiction novel wrapped up in a beach type read.
Traveling With T’s Thoughts:
Gosh, I ADORE Beatriz Williams. Seriously, I have been a fan since A HUNDRED SUMMERS- so I knew I would totally be getting TINY LITTLE THING.
The Good:
Tiny is a character that is so perfect, so pretty, so due for a colossal undoing to shake up her perfect world- you, the reader, can taste it coming. And it does not disappoint. And this is when you start really rooting for Tiny- because she won’t take things lying down- she’s going to fight. Her Schyuler spunk really starts to show.
The cover: My gosh. PURE perfection. The dress. The colors. It’s more serious than Beatriz’s 2 previous book covers and yet it complements the whole series. Buy the book for what is inside- but totally appreciate the eye candy cover.
The political aspect- Many comparisons have been made to Jackie O and the Kennedy family when talking about TINY LITTLE THING. There are definitely similarities- which I love- because love or hate the Kennedy’s- they were/are such an intriguing family and the Hardcastle family has the makings of being the same type of family that people would love to discuss for decades.
Bottom line: Get your hands on this book. You won’t be sorry.

It was really enjoyable!!!!
I enjoyed the two “connected” books so I know I’ll read this one of these days. Glad you liked it!
I reallllllly like Beatriz Williams style!
Bottom line, you have made it totally necessary for me to get my hands on this book, have seen a few more positive reviews too, so remember the Kennedy family and was always intrigued too.
Now that is what I’m talking about! Love to hear that 🙂
I don’t know why, but the cover of this book is very off-putting to me and so I’ve passed on several opportunities to pick it up. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it seems judging by the cover might have been a bad idea! I’ll have to check out a few more reviews and see if this could work for me 🙂
This one is a bit “heavier” than her other 2 books, so I think it will work better for you. I think, if you read Tiny, you’ll start to see why the cover has much appeal- it kind of sums up Tiny!
