Back in 2013, I had the pleasure of meeting Jenny Milchman on World Book Night- she was signing books at Lemuria Books. So when I found out that she would be coming back to Lemuria to sign her second book, RUIN FALLS- I knew I would attend that since I had such a great time at COVER OF SNOW signing.
When Jenny and I sat down at the RUIN FALLS signing, a year+ had passed. But it did not feel like that. We started talking, catching each other up on the previous year in the writing/blogging activities- and then Jenny begin talking about things that she wished would happen in the blogger/author/publisher world. I knew that Jenny had chatted with Allison @ The Book Wheel about some ideas and that Allison had in turn created #30Authors– a one of a kind event that happened back in September. But actually LISTENING to Jenny- well, she is passionate about the blogger/author/publisher relationship. And quite an advocate!
It was a fun laid-back event- Jenny talked for a while, signed some books, and we just had a nice time catching up before she had to leave with her family to go to the next stop on the world’s longest book tour!
Jenny Milchman- author of RUIN FALLS, is a sweetheart. In a recent posting to Shelf-Awareness, she gives me a shout-out in Part 5 recap of The World’s Longest Book Tour!
Already looking forward to seeing Jenny in 2015!
Happy Reading and Bookishly Yours,
