How do you spell October? For me, pumpkins are a major part of October. They are so pretty- the bright orange color- and they photograph so well. Just seeing a pumpkin makes me think about fall- the leaves changing, the nip in the air, blue jeans and boots- and how those beautiful sunny days are so appreciated as we get closer to the winter.
Last Saturday, my cousin invited me to attend Caledonia Days in Caledonia, MS. For those who are not aware of it, it’s an arts/crafts festival- similar in style to Double Decker in Oxford or Market Street Festival in Columbus. He had to drop off some Mississippi State football tickets to be raffled off and then we went walking around the area- stopping and browsing at the handmade items. After a couple of hours of that- he asked me if I wanted to go to the pumpkin patch and I said yes- it was a gorgeous day- clear, blue sky- warm; but not too hot. The only thing that put a wrinkle in my day was the fact that I had left the GOOD camera at home (The Canon Rebel T3I) and just had my small Canon in my purse.
