Traveling With T’s Thoughts:

Susan Mallery is an author that is very hit and miss with me. I have tried her Fool Gold series a couple of times and I never could get into it. But I really enjoy the Mischief Bay series- The Girls of Mischief Bay and The Friends We Keep.

I kept seeing Daughters of the Bride all over Facebook- many ads and promos- and I must say that the cover was so eye catching. It just made me catch my breath a bit.

When a copy of the book just randomly showed up at my house, I jazz handed a bit around the house 😉

I really enjoyed the storyline. Family drama and stories about sisters just entertain me.

I liked all 3 sisters (and could relate to them in different ways!) and I never could decide who my fave was! I did get tired of the attitude toward Courtney- she’s had a few hard knocks and she was making her life better (even if her family did not know about it!) and Rachel- well, I understood that Rachel was going through some things- but SOME of it she brought on herself. You can’t act like a martyr all the time.

I was thinking this was going to be a start to a new series, but after looking for more info- it appears to be a standalone. Pity. I would have liked to hear a bit more about the sisters in future books!

Bottom line: This is a book to pass away an afternoon or 2 with. Recommended!
